"I called H&S to fix a problem with my geo thermal unit. They came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Jason also went the extra mile and checked to make sure there were no other problems with my Geo Thermal."

"We had just moved into a new house and ran the dishwasher for the first time only to find water seeping out all over the hardwood floors!  We ran one more load just to be sure it was the dishwasher, which it was.  We called two companies for a quote.  I left a message with SOS, but they returned my call probably within 15 minutes.  The gal on the phone was extremely helpful.  She told me what it would cost for the service call and then explained the Angie's List discount, which I had already seen online.  Whereas the other company was scheduling a whole week out, she said they happened to have a serviceman, Cory, who was in a neighboring town and who was finishing his work route early that day, so he had one more opening.  He was at our house within 20 minutes.  He got on the floor and discovered right away that the drain hose was cracked and needed to be replaced.  We approved the repair and he had it up and running, including testing for leaks with the new hose installed, within an hour.  We ran another load tonight and there's no leaking.  Thank you, Cory!"

"We had many issues with our computer - primarily with the CD/DVD drive and iTunes. Jim eliminated over 700 viruses from our computer, which was just the beginning. There continued to be problems within the systems of the computer. Luckily Jim charges by the job and not by the hour because he worked a LONG time to make it all work.  He kept in touch with me and addressed each issue as it arose until the job was done.  He was professional and courteous and hung in there until I was satisfied he had addressed everything. I would highly recommend Jim and will definitely use his services in the future, as needed.

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"I HAD TO RESCHEDULE MY ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT 24 HOURS AHEAD OF TIME AND THEY DID IT WITH NO HASSLE. THE SERVICE TECH ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME ON THE RESCHEDULED DAY, AND DID GOOD, FAST, CLEAN WORK. I LEARNED A FEW THINGS JUST STANDING THERE WATCHING, BUT I'M NOT GOING TO INSTALL ANY GAS LINES ANY TIME SOON! THE PRICE CAME IN JUST UNDER MY BUDGET CAP. I WILL CALL STANDARD AGAIN IF NEEDED."

"Magic and Miracles (aka Michelle Pontrelli) came out for a weekend of completely re-organizing my house.   Over a weekend, Michelle and I cleaned out and then organized closets, my office and my garage.  Michelle hauled off three jeep loads of items to good will or to the garbage (as appropriate).  For a few items I wasn't using anymore, Michelle sold them on Ebay for me, taking less than a quarter of the sale price for her efforts in repeatedly posting the items, finding a seller, and then packaging and mailing.  By the time the weekend was over, the garage was spotless and open (it had been half full with items I wasn't using, empty boxes, all manner of junk.  The closets were clean, organized and actually had space left if I needed it.  I still smile every time I drive into my impeccable garage.  Michelle has subsequently done a house organization weekend for my mother as well.  She was so thrilled with the results that my mother's friend then hired Michelle as well.  I have since Michelle at her daily package rate to clean, run errands, whatever I needed help with.  I would recommend Michelle to anyone!"

"Mark's work was excellent in all respects.  When the sensor on the sump pump appeared to be performing incorrectly, he returned with the pump salesman, who explained to me how the pump and sensor should work after replacing the sensor with a better one.  After the work was completed another plastic pipe in the vicinity of the work Mark had done appeared to be out of alignment and was coming apart at the joint.  I called Mark.  After Mark's inspection and explanation, it appeared that the problem had nothing to do with Mark's work, but he stuck around anyway to help me get the pipe fixed and aligned properly.  The water filter Mark recommended was not only  an improvement over what I had but it uses replacement filters that cost a fraction of the cost of the filters used in the old system.  Mark gave me a full and easy to understand explanation of the equipment he installed."

"The guys that work for Cady Handyman were on time and showed up when they said they would. They installed a custom made shower for us that turned out beautiful. We needed it finished before the closing on our house, and they did everything including staying late in order to get it finished."
