"My new home came with a security system.  I called the number (Not Pro Techt Home Security) on the system to schedule an install.  On the day of the install I was told, after I called, that the install technician was going to be our for a week and so no one would be able to come out to set up my alarm system.  Thankfully I found Theo.  Theo was very helpful and was able to use the system that my home came with (unlike another security company). He installed extra equipment and provided a very reasonable price for monthly monitoring.  I highly recommend Pro Techt Home Security.  Theo turned a bad situation into a good one and I greatly appreciate his work.

This is an update of a review I wrote in September 2015. I?ve been a customer of FE Moran several years after Meyer?s security sold out to them. I use their service every day and I?ve always found them to be responsive to alarms. I've been a very happy customer for years and have recommended their service to friends and co-workers. I was notified by mail that my GSM which had been in service for quite a while was becoming obsolete and needed to be upgraded to accommodate the faster 3G/4G cellular technologies. I spoke with an agent that was handling the transition for the customers that were impacted by the upgrade. Unfortunately that conversation didn't end well and I felt like I was being shown the door, hence this review on Angie?s List. Luckily it was a misunderstanding caused by improper training. Long story short, I simply wanted to buy a new GSM and have it installed but I was told I had to sign another 3 year contract. One of the heads of the corporation contacted me and we spoke on the phone about the issues I was having. He was very gracious and easy to talk to. He acknowledged that I was one of the first to go through the upgrade procedure and there were details that hadn't been ironed out. He thanked me for my feedback and assured me that he's working to make the upgrade a better experience for his customers that have the 2G cellular communicators. After talking with him I felt comfortable staying with FE Moran, my GSM is scheduled to be upgraded and I'll most likely be a customer for many years to come.

"Nice installer, but he talked too fast as did my neighbor, in explaining codes and passwords, so my notes are not good enough for me to remember correctly. I'm worried I may do something wrong in using the alarm and have the police show up. The company sign out front looks good and my windows and doors are well marked. I called the company about something else, and got the idea the idea they would not be able to help me with this. So....take good notes and make them slow down with explanations."
