"I wanted to receive quotes for a siding project from several companies and debella debt out Blake & Brady for the initial quote. They were very friendly and professional and unlike other companies respected the fact I wanted to do this in February. They were very supportive and didn't try to pressure a same day sale. The actually spent over 5 hours at my home going over all the details and answering my questions. The found the right serv6fir me within my budget so I signed up now for them to start in February. They are one of only 2 actual certified james hardie color plus installers in idaho in I feel confident they will do a fantastic job."

"I highly recommend Lenâ s company Trilite. The process of replacing my brick with stone veneer went so smoothly. Since Trilite was the manufacturer and the installer in my project, I was able to choose from a myriad of stone and colors. The quality and workmanship of the masons was above and beyond what I expected. The stone is beautiful and it was all done in a timely manner and at a fair price. For stone veneer this is the place!!"

"As a first time home owner, I was unsure of the process to have my roof replaced. Even before I signed the contract to get the work scheduled, Jim, Ellie, Carolyn and Lucy were very helpful with answering questions I had by phone or email, even on weekends. I was very impressed and grateful for that and it kept the entire process stress free! Tony and the crew did a fantastic job getting the roof replaced. I was told it would take one day to complete and that was correct: the crew arrived at 7am and got right to work and knocked it out! I would highly recommend using Craftsmen Home Improvements for roofing as they were very friendly, courteous and helpful making this process as smooth as possible!"

"Mike did a beautiful job matching and replacing my leaning chimney to the roofline. The 100 yr old brick doesn't exist anymore and what he found to come close worked out perfectly. He's very honest ,detailed and really listened to me. He took excellent care to get things done right. Very tidy and even saved my beloved blueberry bush from peril ."

"I bid approximately 10 different people across three categories: landscapers, contractors and masons. The landscapers were stumped given it was structural and it was graduated (grew from small to tall). The contractors were very matter of fact as were most of the masons; demo it and build it with this one brick style that they were accustomed to using. Scott came out and was very self-assured as to how he was going to tackle the project and he explained how he was going to do it and why. Prior to this however, on the phone, he sent us to his website to check out all the retaining walls he had previously done, both structural and more for esthetic purposes (my words) I will say. After he explained his approach, he then got out his brick catalog and gave us a couple of options then he would recommend. Then, he saw that we had a large tree nearby and recommended that perhaps we might want to go with a smooth vs. textured stone so that all the sap and other tree droppings wouldn't cling to the brick. This is the type of attention to detail that Scott brings to the project. He was right on budget, his team was very pleasant and very nice, and they were very clean when they were done. I would use them again in a minute. I am not sure that there isn't anything with stone that Scott hasn't done. <br />"

"Kevin and his crew performed A+ work.  I had concerns about water getting behind my wall and frost heave, EZ Masonry came up with a solution and completed the job in one day.  Would absolutely recommend them and if further masonry work is needed they will be my first and only call."

"Our front concrete walk had settled a couple inches where it met the front stoop. This had occurred over the 20 years since our house was built. The concrete itself was in excellent condition, just lower than it should be. This meant the step from the walk up the first step was much higher than it should be or compared to the second step. Options were (a) mudjacking; b) repaving with walk with new concrete; and (c) sandjacking. <br /> I've known people who have had sunken walks mudjacked only to replace the walks a few years later when the problems re-occurred. The quote from a good concrete contractor was $2400 to remove the existing concrete, regrade the base, and pour new concrete. While browsing options on the internet, I found references to sandjacking. I researched sandjacking and found it had been developed by an engineer precisely for this type of problem. Since he lives in Fargo, i figured this solution should survive our Minnesota freeze/thaw cycles. The quote from Advanced Sandjacking was $350 to raise my front walk to the proper level. Given the good reviews on Angie's list, I decided to use their service. <br /> The day before the work was to be done, I dug up some perennials next to the walk. Since it was early October, the plants were going dormant and didn't mind being disturbed. This took me about 15 minutes. The crew arrived on the day scheduled at the time I was told they would. After introducing themselves and making sure all the windows were closed, they got to work. It took the two-person crew about 15 minutes to set the jacks and insert the pipe to place the sand underneath the walk. The only landscaping they disturbed was the small area I knew about ahead of time. Pumping in the sand was noisy and dusty but wasn't that bad and didn't go on for long. Raising the walk, caulking the seam and clean up went quickly. It was less than 45 minutes from the time the crew pulled up in front of my house to the time they pulled away, job done. <br /> What I liked about this process: (1) The existing concrete was saved (nothing went to a landfill). (2) The walk could be used immediately. In fact, the mail carrier used the walk to deliver a package as the crew was packing up. (3) $2000 cheaper than removing the old concrete and pouring new concrete. (4) Minimal disturbance of the plantings that line both sides of the walk. (4) No ugly patches such as those mudjacking would have left. (5) Really fast. (6) Very little residual sand on the surface. <br /> It took me about 10 minutes to replant the dug-up perennials in the same place as they had been. They needed dividing anyway. The only other thing I had to do was top up the soil along the walk to bring up the grade up a bit. This covered the small amount of the "sand" that was visible. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Isanti, MN

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
