"HomePro did an inspection on our new construction home. The builder conducted their own inspection prior, but our inspector Larry found several items that they missed. The builder agreed to fix those items so it was well worth our money spent. I was out of state during the inspection so Larry called me after and explained all of the issues over the phone and had the report to me the same day."

"We first called Griffin to inspect the work our builder did, before we moved into the house. The owner came out and pointed out a couple of issues regarding placement of vents and where the compressor was installed. The builder made the changes that Griffin deemed as necessary for a more efficient system. After we moved in, we had an issue with blow back from the system that the builder installed. Tom, the owner, had a team of 5 people here trying to determine what the cause of the "blow back" was. Tom and his team worked quite diligently for hours, more so than the builder, to come up with some answers. Eventually, it was Griffin who figured out the problem. They now do our regular maintenance. Whenever there has been a problem, we have had someone at our house in a matter of hours. One evening we called because we had no AC and someone showed up at 9pm, after multiple other calls he made that evening. I highly recommend this company for any HVAC issues or services that you might need."

"Wish I would've hired Green Energy Spray Foam Insulation years ago for my home insulation needs as they went above and beyond exceeding my expectations! Our house get too cold during the winter, and hot as an oven during the summer. We called Green Energy Spray Foam Insulation. I spoke with Camille and explained the situation. I was interested in having the walls and attic insulated. Next Day, Mr. Touma arrived and very straight forward with what needed to be done. No up-selling or hidden costs, and even assured attic insulation alone would satisfy my needs sparing me the extra cost of wall insulation! This company put in time and effort and accomplished outstanding results as the temperateness in the house felt wonderful allowing us to sleep much more comfortably. As for their crew, they were awesome. Do not hesitate to call them. Highly recommended."

"Amazing story from start to finish. Great people to work with from the gentlemen who did the testing and cost estimate, to the installation crews and supervisor, and even the owner came out and dropped by supplies one day.The crew were all had positive attitudes, even towards this tough job, worked all day, and worked together very well. The job took exactly as long as they said it would and I was without AC one day less than I expected. i'm still not sure how they got all the old metal ductwork out and the new ductwork in the attic, even though I watched them do it. The attic at most is 3-4 feet high and goes down to 1 foot. They did not have to tear out any walls. The design of the new AC returns and the new 2 stage, variable speed system along with the Honeywell thermostat do a great job of keeping the house at a constant temperature. Of course the amount of insulation you can pack into such a tiny attic is limited, along with the options in the duct layout, but everything works wonderfully together. The followup on my punch list was all done within a week. They took care of every concern I had - replaced my duct grilles that didn't stand up to the tear out and reinstall, showed me how to program the thermostat. Even the inspector said they had gone above and beyond by installing more than one return in the house. The company they used to close up returns and supplies that were no longer used did an amazing job on our plaster walls. <br /> If you have indoor air quality concerns, want to know how efficient your HVAC system is, or need a bid from a company for a new system or new HVAC design and want quality work, I highly recommend All Elements Mechanical. They do amazing work and will address your questions and concerns. I have had follow-up questions and concerns and they have responded quickly in a very positive manner. I look forward to a long term relationship with this company. If you need more information, contact them and they can give you my name as a reference."

"Smooth as Butter. The Consultation helped us to understand the process and great benefit's getting Solar Panels would entail. They even showed up with Dog Treats after finding out we had 2 small devils at Home. We was guided through the entire process and were so impressed they even stopped by for the Installation Day so we threw a BBQ for them and the Installation Crew. ..... we are still happy with our Choice and can only recommend them."

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Jacksonville, FL

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
