When Michael first arrived we inspected the tankless unit and tested the water to conclude flushing was not my best option. "Darrow asked us a lot of questions and suggested that we try to repair it before replacing it (Which would cost 6K!). he said we probably could get some more life out of it and resolve some of the issues we were having. He also said that if we invested some money in it but still needed to replace it, he would take that into account in replacement costs. So clearly he was confident his repairs would work. And they did! rather than spending 6K, we have spent a few hundred dollars and the a/c is doing much better! I am so happy we can delay replacing for at least a year or two."

"Bryan was the technician who serviced the call. He was very nice, professional and took time to go through many options of why the unit wasn't functioning properly. He took the time to explain to me/show me why the capacitor (the original, lower quality one that was installed by manufacturer 7 years ago) wasn't functioning properly (45 units of power should go to condenser, 5 units of power should go to fan, but his instrument registered only 0.5 units of energy going to fan). This caused the fan to not work properly, which could have caused the condenser to work too hard and overheat. We replaced the Capacitor with a high quality one so enough power is going to both. Bryan inspected tightened all the bolts and the result was a smooth running A/C with less vibration and less noise. He did not try to sell us equipment we didn't need to tell us we needed to replace our A/C unit, which we liked. We greatly appreciated his help with fixing our A/C unit. We will contact Southland Heating and Air for our future A/C checkups. Thank you"
