"Where our carpet meets our bathroom tile we had water coming up soaking into the carpet. I thought at first one of the movers dropped a water bottle, but it kept coming back and kept coming back and it turned out the water was coming up thru the floor. I thought maybe rolling over the floor they might have broken something. The next day I called a different company and they did come out pretty quickly and immediately started talking about we can send a camera in the pipe to see what the problem is before we start jack hammering your floor. Then they went out to the water meter to see how bad the leak was and if the needle was spinning even though the water was turned off, but they found out our water pressure was too high and suggested we put a pressure reducer on it to prevent any further pipe damage. So we were looking at quite a bill. Then, I called the insurance company the next business day and they wanted to use their provider, and that's how Bryco got sent to our house around July 18. <br /> <br /> When Bryco arrived, the first thing he asked me, the very first, was where's the water, he looked at it and asked where is your washing machine. It was on the other side of the wall, He walks around, takes a flash light, and shows me where the hose to the washing machine was screwed onto the tap and it was leaking. Our tap was so old, that was just the last straw and it just wasn't going to be connected anymore. That's what the water was. never talked about jack hammering or cameras or busted pipes . It was the freaking washing machine. I was pretty happy with him. For $125 he replaced both, saved us a fortune. He went out and put the pressure valve on the meter at the street and saved us $300. The pressure valve was $600. <br />"

"<p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p>Our sewer line was backed up.  The plumber we used previously told us we should get someone with a camera to tell what was really causing this periodically, so we called Tuttle.   They quickly found the blockage and removed it.  They also told us that our sewer pipes look fine as I was worried they would need to be fixed and make it really expensive.   I really appreciate their honesty in telling us they didn't need anything further done.  They were wonderful to work with and I will definitely call them in the future.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Their pricing is right in line with everyone else, if not better, and they always show up when they say they will. They're polite, they're courteous, and they clean up well after themselves. There never seems to be any sort of delay, and they leave just as quickly as they come. I would recommend them to ANYONE that needs plumbing work."

"A leak discovered in a bathroom drain pipe was repaired in 15 minutes!!! Discovered that the original pipe was not glued onto the PVC that drains thru the slab as there was no pipe extending above the concrete. The plumbers chipped away at the concrete, exposed the PVC pipe, glued the drain pipe from the sink to the PVC that goes into the slab and created the correct coupling. I love this company and the work they do. Highly recommend them. Will use them in the future for all my plumbing needs."

"I had a leak in the living room from the kitchen faucet. When we pulled the molding away the nail was hammered into the pipe. We paid a couple hundred up front and the insurance covered the rest. It hasn't leaked since. They came right out."

FAQs for gas piping projects in La Vernia, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
