The clean-up was fine, it's the pricing that was concerning.

I was very disappointed in the billing and cost of the services Dry Air Restoration (Shakopee, MN) provided.  The first estimate came back at $1925.00, but once they found out insurance was going to cover the clean up costs, their bill jumped up to $3,686.52 for the exact same services as indicated in their initial estimate.  We were told by this organization, that if insurance was covering the claim, they bill differently than if the bill will be paid for without insurance.

I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable recommending a company that takes advantage of its customers like this.  Regardless if insurance covers the clean-up and repair, the work performed is the same.

"They were extremely prompt and professional. I found their responsiveness refreshing and found them to be trustworthy and at enjoyed my interaction with them.  They were one of the few contractors that didn't seem to try and make me feel like my project was not worth their time or energy. 
I did not go with them, but that was more because I felt like i wanted to try and see if I could do enough of the work to offset some of the costs.  While i hope i won't regret too much not going with them, i can very well see myself going right to them if i thought i had a project that was more appropriate.

"Water Out was referred to me by a reputable plumber on Craig's List.  I sought a water mitigator after discovering that a faulty spigot and connections caused significant water damage to our newly refinished basement.  Ken arrived the same day I called him.  He used a measuring tool to identify water in soffit, behind walls and under floorboards.  He set up a large dehumidifier and fans - then returned a day later with Mike to move furniture, remove drywall and lift floorboards.  4 days of drying was necessary.
The Water Out team was prompt, professional, and helped turn our "disaster" into a manageable repair.

"Supposed to arrive at 9 with one hour window. Called after 1100 to say wiould be late. Arrived just before noon. Service was supposed to be 4 to 7 hours. He stayed just over 5. Did an effective job in some ares. In others, just moved dirt around. Nice kid, maybe would do well for "maintenace cleaning" but we were looking for deeper cleaning due to party prep.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
