"Our central air conditioner stopped running, and I called Sharp-Long because they had originally installed the system and had periodically provided maintenance on it in the past. The owner, J.C. Crossley, went out of his way to send a service employee to look at the problem within an hour (it was at the end of the day).  The employee, who was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, determined that the coolant had all leaked out, re-charged the system with recycled coolant for free and ran tests preliminary to determining whether we could claim a utility rebate when we replaced the system.  I was extremely grateful for the courtesy extended by Mr. Crossley and strongly considered his bid for replacement, but in the end we did select another bidder. I offered to pay Mr. Crossley for the service call, but he declined the offer.

Recently when we were having problems with our computers, we tried contacting our service contractor multiple times. He never responded. "I had a problem with a new room which we had added onto the house. The water pipes going out into this room had frozen twice. Called a plumber who recommended we call someone trained in insulation work. Called Insulation Pro's who came out the very next day and after crawling down and into the new space knew right away what the problem was. Problem was caused by a poor job insulating the room that the building contractor had insulated himself. Insulation Pro's had a team of workers come out the very next day and re-insulated the failing area. No problems since and I would recommend these folks to anyone needing insulation services. They were great!"

"I received the Nest thermostat through the KCP&L program with the intent to install myself. I was upgrading from the older Honeywell Wifi thermostat I received through KCP&L. However, the wiring for my old thermostat and the NEST wasn't a simple "plug-n-play." (Even though I elected to install on my own rather than wait 3 mos for a Nest tech to come to my home). So, when I saw the advertised services for a smart thermostat install (with Nest pictured), I figured it was with the piece of mind to have a professional HVAC tech come out and look. -Setting up the appointment was pleasant. The time frame was flexible and felt like they were very accommodating to various schedules. -I setup a time for show up between 10-noon. Techs showed up just before noon. Within the scheduled window, but reminiscent of cable companies who show up just before their appointment window expires. -I explained the situation to the arriving tech including what I had attempted. He began asking questions about the Nest which began giving me pause (as they not only advertise for this service, but the implication is you should also be familiar with their technology). -tech called in the owner of the company who also seemed perplexed as to the operation. Both seemed less-than impressively familiar with the Nest thermostat. -After they left they contacted Nest support and forwarded me their Nest tech support post about my specific issue (again, something I hired these guys for and could've done on my own. But, I wanted an in home HVAC tech in person). I don't have any other experience with Air Sales and this review is only in regards to my experience and review of my specific purchase. My recommendation is: if you are going to advertise for a specific service, don't post a picture of a device you aren't as familiar with. Nest does have a list of Nest specific installers in the KC area. I discovered this after the fact."

"Storm cause an outage on my rental property ac units and they came out and got them all fixed up. They are great at communicating and does not proceed with anything without consulting you about whats wrong and the price to fix it."

"I called Tap Heating and Cooling early Sunday afternoon.  John was at the house within an hour.  He explained to me what the problem was and how it could be fixed.  He left to go get parts and was back within the hour like he said.  He assured me he wasn't leaving until I had heat.  When he left I had heat.  Thank you John.  In the future Tap has won my business.  Nothing but professionalism, honesty, and courteousness was shown.  Great customer service.  You will be hearing from me in the near future.

"The floor was changed from wooden slats to a ceramic tile that the contractor recommended.  The screen windows were changed out to full view custom casement windows and two new full-view doors.  A room-specific heating and air conditioning unit was also added.  The whole room was painted inside and out.
The people working on this job were fantastic--friendly, conscientious, and truly professional at their craft.  We do not hesitate to recommend this company for any remodel job.  In fact they are just starting work on the basement."

"By the time the service rep was contacted and he called us, we had purchased the part and repaired the air conditioner unit ourselves. We had hire the service company to do a complete service on the unit on June 23,2022. I would recommend Freedom Heating and Air to anyone needing service. They were very professional and did a thorough job. They explained what they were doing from beginning to end. We were shown pictures of before and after as they did the work.
