"Choose Everson for a quote from Angi. Jay promptly came out, and within a few days, we had our quote. We are a church and have several steps to get approval for major expenses. it was several vendors before a decision was made. Everson was chosen, and it took several months to get finalized. From the moment Jay arrived, it was all business, and their focus was on getting the job done. We worked well with them, and they worked well with us. The project was completed promptly, and we were very pleased with the professionalism and hard work. Our facility looks great. Thanks again to Everson Flooring for a great job."

Customers say: Terrific value

"I hired this company for a flooring job, and while the main flooring was acceptable, the rest of the work was incredibly poor. They left white primer footprints all over my front stoop and sidewalk, and although they claimed it was water-based and would come off easily, it is still there. Inside, I requested a patch for a hole in the hallway, but it was a messy job with plaster and mudding splattered all over the wall and simply painted over. The finishing work was equally disappointing. The quarter-round molding was so poorly tacked down that it is already coming loose and curling. Even worse, they repaired a rotted section of the floor but failed to put the ductwork back. Because the subfloor wasn't properly supported, there is now a noticeable sag where they fixed it, and I am forced to pay someone else to reinstall the ductwork. They also failed to put any flooring under the water heater, leaving a cutout in the room, and they tore a piece of laminate off the kitchen cabinetry footing without replacing it. The owner was the most frustrating part of the experience. He repeatedly promised he could handle any task I requested, but he sent workers who clearly didn't have the right skills. He never once inspected the final results to allow me to show him these issues; instead, he just came by to collect the check and left. Even one of his own workers seemed embarrassed by his behavior and the quality of the work. I would not recommend this company to anyone. "

FAQs for flooring install, repair, or refinish projects in Lexington, NC

Removing tile flooring is a messy job. Expect flying chip fragments, mortar dust, and plenty of debris. Protect the space with plastic sheeting and drop cloths, and gear up with goggles and a respirator before you start prying. Pros keep the mess in check by attaching industrial vacuums to their tools, a setup that captures dust at the source and leaves the work zone far cleaner than a DIY approach.

Removing the old tile first is almost always the smarter play. If you tile over worn or uneven flooring, the new surface can crack, pop, or sit higher than the surrounding rooms. Fixing that later costs far more, especially if you need to re-level the floor. By demoing the tile now, you get a flat, solid subfloor and avoid surprise repairs down the road.
