I must say, they did an exceptional job! The level of professionalism they exhibited was impressive, and Brian, the owner, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the results were outstanding. The hardwood floors added a touch of elegance and warmth to my home, transforming the space beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. From start to finish, Torres Flooring demonstrated their expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of flooring services. Kudos to the entire team for a job well done!"

"William did a marvelous job installing a new tile floor on our screen porch. He was meticulous to detail and also installed a new screen door. He left the area in impeccable shape. We definitely will use his services again. "

"After resolving an initial issue with dust collection, Elegant Floors completed the job extremely well. We had originally gotten estimates to replace the floors, but the cost of refinishing was considerably less, and our 35-year-old oak floors look brand new again! Elegant Floors was the only contractor that suggested replacing the heating registers with flush-mount, which gives a very finished look. The crew was professional, cleaned up every day, and did outstanding work. BTW, dust turned out to be a non-issue; their standard system left very little dust upon completion of the job."

"I love my basement now! They removed all of the asbestos flooring, adhesive etc. and installed my new floor in 2 days. The employees were very respectful and worked efficiently. They had said 3 days but they hustled and did it in 2."

FAQs for flooring install, repair, or refinish projects in Linthicum Heights, MD

Removing tile flooring is a messy job. Expect flying chip fragments, mortar dust, and plenty of debris. Protect the space with plastic sheeting and drop cloths, and gear up with goggles and a respirator before you start prying. Pros keep the mess in check by attaching industrial vacuums to their tools, a setup that captures dust at the source and leaves the work zone far cleaner than a DIY approach.

Removing the old tile first is almost always the smarter play. If you tile over worn or uneven flooring, the new surface can crack, pop, or sit higher than the surrounding rooms. Fixing that later costs far more, especially if you need to re-level the floor. By demoing the tile now, you get a flat, solid subfloor and avoid surprise repairs down the road.
