Beyond the original work he quoted, he also replaced an old shutoff valve and was able to maintain the original estimate. He also called me the day before the appointment to confirm that everything was ready for the appointment day and time. Start to finish was a little over 2 hours to drain and remove the old tank, replace the old valve, fabricate new water line adapters and install the tank. He reviewed the operation with me and lighting the pilot and the indicators on the heater ignition controller."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
