"Very honest and professional. Mindful of safety regulations. Price is very reasonable. My whole family uses ESB and we recommend them to others. First time the owner came out he didn't even charge me. He tried to find the least expensive solution. This is so uncommon in today's world. I'm grateful and very satisfied."

"Chris was amazing. He was the first to arrive of all the contacted people. We talked about what I wanted (replace the cartridge) and he quoted me $250. That is not high to replace a cartridge. He determined that the shower knob faucet valve cartridge was probably NOT DEFECTIVE, possibly only cleaned, and I assumed the price would be lower with no new $100 part needed. He fixed it by adjusting the hiddent pressure valves, removed and cleaned the cartridge, but didn't lower the price. I'm mostly okay with it. The problem IS SOLVED, I know next time that I can probably adjust the valves myself, and he did a great job. So between the pretty-reasonable quote if it had needed all the work, the fast response, and quality work, I got my money's worth. I would recommend them and call them again for more work.."

Customers say: True professional

"I spoke to Ruben who gave me a call and explained to me exactly what I was talking about in more words I could understand and he set up an appointment time with one of his guys name Levi. Levi came within the time frame I was quoted, looked at what needed to be done, went to get the exact parts that was needed and did the job. Levi was very explanatory about what he did and how it was an easy thing to get done. Levi was kind and resourceful. I would hire him again if and when I need anything else to be done on my house. Thank you so very much Levi. We appreciate everything you have done for me with the job. 😀😀😀"

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Long Beach, CA

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
