"My primary complaint is cost and not service. The service provided was very good. Precision Garage Doors were able to come out promptly on the next day (Saturday) after I called them at 4pm on a Friday. The technician replaced the torsion springs and even repaired a few minor items on our garage doors at no additional charge. The technician was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. That being said, the price that they charged for the torsion spring parts. The labor charges seemed reasonable, but they wanted to charge $250 for *each* torsion spring. I could not find online anywhere where a torsion spring cost more than about half of that ($125). When asked why these torsion springs cost so much, the technician was sort of vague. In following up with the company, I generally got the run-around. They could not provide the manufacturer's part number, and the manufacturer that they use only sells wholesale and will not disclose the price that they charge. No one could really justify the outrageous price that they were charging for the parts, but I needed my garage door fixed as soon as possible, and I didn't have time that weekend to fix it myself due to other obligations. Overall, if you want the problem fixed promptly and properly, and don't mind spending a lot of money, then Precision Garage Doors will do the job for you. If you are handy enough to install torsion springs yourself, you would save a ton of money."

"The initial estimate in August 2015 went very well.  We were very pleased with the quality we were getting and the quoted price.  The company was responsive and showed up on time to give us the estimate. From that point, however, we had difficulty at times communicating.  We did not hear back from the company regarding the status of our order and possible dates for scheduling the installation. When we finally heard from them in October, they left a message for us with a date of installation. I called and left a message to confirm the date, but they did not get our message.  Once they understood the mistake, they immediately rectified by making time for us as planned.  
On the day of installation in October 2015, the lead installer showed up on time but they did not start work until about 11:00 am due to an issue with the window delivery/pick up. The installation went fine, and they appeared to be detailed and diligent in their work. However, we noticed part way through there was a mistake in the order, and one window was ordered without grids. Unfortunately, the installation went very late (they did not finish until about 9 pm) due to complications with the big picture window at the very end, which was not started until nearly 7 pm.  Consequently, they completed the work on the large picture window in the dark and cleaned up outside in the dark.  They were unable to wrap a side window that was not part of the installation, but which they agreed to wrap when we had our estimate.  We were told they would come back and finish cleaning up when they came back to swap the window out for the correct one, clean off black marks on the interior of the windows, and complete the wrapping of the additional window.  The next morning, we completed the clean up ourselves outside.  We were pleased with the installation and the quality of the windows. However, we noticed a dent in the aluminum border surrounding the big picture window above our front door, probably inadvertently caused due to the lack of visibility in completing the work in the dark.  We communicated that to the company in writing and by phone.  We were told it would be taken care of by the installer. Within a few weeks, the installer came back and installed the correct window pane, but did not have the materials to wrap the additional window or fix the dent above the front door. It has now been over five months, and we have had multiple instances when we were told the installer was coming only to either not have him show up or have him reschedule.
I have contacted the company multiple times, most recently two weeks ago, when we were told by the general manager the installer had just picked up the materials and would be contacting us to take care of it.  After more than a week, the installer contacted us to say he would be by on the weekend to take care of it. Once agin, he had not shown up or communicated to us regarding the schedule.
We were very pleased with some aspects of our experience but extremely displeased by the lack of responsiveness, the feeling of being bounced around to various members of the company, and the fact that they did not complete what they said they would or fix the dent above our front door caused by the installation. When I have spoken to the general manager or the installer, they are always very polite and  professional.  I just wish these interactions were followed up by action.  Our issue remains unresolved more than five months after installation.

Technician clearly explained the differences and said they could service it if I replaced a component with one they do service. however, since it was working just fine, the cost to replace made no sense. "Three years ago in November 2013, Dan Millard and his company entered our lives and ultimately created a kitchen and sun room combination so amazing that we are still receiving compliments on its beauty and usefulness. From demolishing the former kitchen, moving a window, removing a sliding glass door, and adding heating ducts under the floor of the sun room, the project was completed in a little over a month. They created a laundry closet in one corner of the sun room and moved our washer and dryer up from the basement. We appreciated that the workers were in our home every weekday for at least 8 hours, and our questions were answered immediately. They even helped us set up a temporary kitchen in the adjoining dining room, so I could cook with a microwave and an electric skillet. "There were a lot of issues initially and I contacted Angie’s List and you were able to help us resolve it. What happened was that I got the deal, I wanted my daughter to use it because the kind of windows that they were going to install weren’t appropriate for my house and I felt that my daughter can profit from that under the circumstances better than I could. So she took the deal and it was not so good initially because apartments were not kept but it turned out fine because they got the windows done and they were pleased with them. They honored the price for two windows. The problem was with scheduling and that sort of thing. The issue was not really honoring the commitment to come at a certain time or to get the work done by a certain time. They did a good job of installation once they did it. I only had one contact with them and I wasn’t happy with that because he wanted to do a complete inspection of the house and I was focused on the windows not so much so on insulation. So I knew that wasn’t good for me and I wasn’t happy with that interaction but here again, in all fairness my daughter was satisfied with the interaction that she had."
