"My very old air conditioner stopped cooling one evening. After getting on Angi, I heard from the owner of Dr. Air and Heat. He ended coming to my house to check it out, and gave me options that he carefully explained. I chose the heat pump, and the next day he and his crew were here to install it. I have never had technicians do such an incredibly clean job. He spent 30 minutes when finished to carefully explain everything and to answer my questions. He then called to check up on me two days later. If you want a job done thoroughly and honestly, Dave from Dr. Air and Heat is your man. "

"I hired Manny from Angi. He and his co-worker Abel came to my home last week to verify that my A/C needed replacing. Manny took the time to inspect my unit and found several mistakes the installer made 10 years ago. I got a quote that was several hundred dollars less than another A/C company. I scheduled Manny to come out today to do the job. I could tell from the beginning that Manny and Abel knew what they were doing. While Manny was disconnecting the condenser, Abel was in the attic tearing out the old unit and began putting in the new coils and return air duct work. The job took 6 hours. When they were finished, I inspected the completed job. It was an amazing transformation. The A/C was cooling the house until it became frigid. With the new thermostat everything was easy to program and use. I would recommend Manny and Son Air Conditioning and Heating to any one whom need any type of work done on their heating or A/C. They are trustworthy and dependable."

"Saved us a ton of money...I signed up with another more pushy company after their scare tactics for a $15,000 2 unit (central AC and furnaces) system...was advised by my parents to have Grants give me a second opinion before I do anything as they had used them for years and they were always very honest.  So I did, and they told me there was no reason to replace anything, and some simple maintenance could be done and save me a boatload of money.  They did the work and alas, I have no issues at all!  Great service, very trustworthy. <br />"

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Mansfield, TX

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
