I seldom have plumbers in so I can't say the cost was high, although I was surprised it was $400, but that could be the going rate. He seemed very agreeable and very happy. I needed something and he was happy to get it. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in that regard. As for the quality of their service, so far so good. Everything went okay. It stopped leaking."

The technicians are very knowledgeable and always answered all our questions. They quickly provided estimates for several different replacement system options covering a range of costs. The cost estimates were quite reasonable and they did not try to convince us to buy a more efficient system that would have been more expensive. While waiting for the installation, they were very helpful in keeping our old system running, coming out a couple of times at no extra cost to address problems that arose. The installation team arrived on schedule and worked carefully and efficiently. All the work was very nicely done. We are very happy with how the whole the process went and with the professionalism of the technicians and the organization. We will have them come back to do regular maintenance checks on the system and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service or a new HVAC system."

"McCarthy was one of several contractors I got bids from for replacing my 20 year old system. I knew what features I was looking for and wanted to qualify for rebates and needed the equipment to meet those qualifications. Chris came out and was very professional, listened to me, and sat down and left me with a quote. Most companies left saying they would email me an estimate and never did, even after following up with them requesting a quote. The three choices he left me with all met the requirements I wanted and he made sure to answer my questions. He followed up with me two days later to see if I had any other questions about my quote, he worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted and was patient while I got my other quotes to make my decision. Overall, I never felt pressured to buy and felt that the customer service provided was excellent. Once we decided to go with McCarthy the installation was a breeze and even got done earlier than expected. The crew was professional and kept me informed of what they were doing to make sure that everything was the way I wanted. If they had something to tell me they called me if I was out of the house, I had to take my car into the shop, so was not home for part of the day. I had them install an extra supply and return and the installers made sure it was where I wanted and not going to interfere with the way I used the space. Having the unit installed now for a few days I have to say the house is a lot more comfortable and I am enjoying not having to worry that my unit won't make it through the coldest part of the winter. I would recommend them to anyone else who needs an HVAC replacement."
