"Furnace was not operating because the company's automatic delivery system ran me out of oil.
Technician showed up promptly and got the furnace operating but could not get heat into the house. Had to reschedule to have zone valves replaced. Technician show up late and didn't have the required parts. Had to reschedule again.
The third technician showed up on time with all the correct parts and worked most of the day to get the system operating properly.
He was completely knowledgeable and very conciencious that everything was working correctly.

"Outstanding installation and good pricing for Carrier HVAC (Heat Pump) system replacement. Salesman was prompt and thorough, although he did not provide us any brochures, booklets, etc. Installer was courteous, experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. Took the time to ensure system was thoroughly operational, confirmed electrical requirements and changed breakers accordingly, cleaned up all debris, and explained operation to us. However, since he was new to McCarthy's, he did not have any installation or service stickers or other company material. The sales representative had promised the following to us, included in sales/order form: one year free service, service information and schedule, copy of registration with Carrier. Three months later, we have not received any communication or follow up from McCarthy's -- despite our calling, texting and emailing the sales rep and office. This is our primary concern: the lack of follow up and poor responsiveness."

"I had to go to an out-of-town business meeting, and because the location of the meeting was exotic, my husband opted to accompany me. Unfortunately, shortly before we were scheduled to leave, my husband developed medical issues that left us in some doubt as to whether or not he would accompany me. When he was cleared, the day before my flight, I contacted Boris (based on his ratings on Angie's list) and asked if he could drive us to the airport. Despite the short notice, and despite the fact that we had to leave at 3:15 AM to be sure of arriving in time for our overseas flight, Boris actually arrived early at our house. His vehicle is comfortable and clean, and we appreciated that we didn't have to wait for him to pick up other people, as has been the case for some other services we've used in the past. He provided us with cold water to drink, and was pleasant company for this early morning drive. When we reached National Airport, he offered to drive us back home when we came back 8 days later. Even though our flight arrived shortly after midnight, he was in telephone contact with us within minutes of when our flight landed, and he picked us up shortly after we told him which door we'd be exiting. Again, he drove us between National Airport and our home for $75, and as he had done when he picked us up, he again offered us cold water to drink during our drive. We're very happy with his service and would highly recommend him. I definitely expect that we'll use his services again."

"I needed the splash guard replaced on my 2007 Honda Civic in a hurry because it was dragging on the ground. My boyfriend and I have been regular ABS Unlimited Auto Repair customers for about two years, so he called them on Columbus Day to see if they could squeeze me in. They said to come right in. When we went in, Tom took a look at it, called the Honda dealership and ordered the part. ABS had it installed by the afternoon. The service was great.
The extraordinary part came when I went to pick up the car. My bumper had become detached on the drivers side a few years ago when I was parked at the Metro. ABS professionally reattached the bumper at no charge...without even telling me! I continue to be delighted by their excellent service. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful. "Assured Comfort was selected by my home insurance policy to repair our furnace.  Dave Lamb, the owner, completed the service.  They were on time and called 20 minutes ahead of time.  They quickly diagnosed the issue and even had a replacement control board in stock on their truck.  Throughout the process, it was very clear to me that Dave knew what he was doing.  While I did not select this company to perform the repairs, based on my experience with them, I intend to hire them for my HVAC service.  The verbal price Dave quoted me for normal semi-annual service also seemed reasonable.  Overall, I would recommend these guys to anyone need HVAC service or repair.
Note:  The cost listed was my insurance deductible.  It would have been more if I had to pay directly.
