"Air-Tech is one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. My first contact with the office was exceptional. They had Jose at my house the next day. Jose did a great job of trouble shooting the problem with my furnace and showed me which part was defective. He had to special order the replacement parts which took a few days. Soon after he left, someone dropped off two space heaters to keep our house warm until the parts arrived. Jose then installed the new parts and checked out the entire furnace to see if there were other problems. He took photos to help show what the problem was. He was efficient, conscientious, polite and thorough. The office staff and Jose kept me up to date on when he would arrive at my home. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Air-Tech again if the need arises. They are top notch."

"We hired AC Dave to install a heating & cooling unit, after using them for our old unit's maintenance for years. It was a unit that. went on the roof, so installation was no small task. They did a fantastic job, kept the area clean, were extremely courteous, and we felt like we were hiring family to help us out. They pulled all of the permits which cost extra of course, but it saved us the hassle of dealing with the city and handled the post work city inspections."

"Over all it is okay, but there is some missing piece's here. My thermostat does not work, but everything else is pretty much okay.

Installed new cooling unit, and updated/corrected whatever problems with the duct work. But the thermostat needs to be in a different location. They filed an inspection so we are waiting for that. They corrected a couple problems with the duct work.

It would be between a C and a B but there is that serous problem with the thermostat. Overall the material was good. There were about 3 or 4 people. It took a good part of the day. They left it clean.

I think its all going to get resolved.

"I own a laundry and needed two new swamp coolers. I called DNA and Andrew came out and from our first meeting was very professional. He was knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions which put me at ease. These guys did a bang up job. They were clean and made short work of removing my old units and installing of the new ones. I would highly recommend DNA for future work."

"Everything went as smoothly as can be imagined. Darrow was easy to work with when planning the job. He worked with my attention to details as I chose the AC and heating units that I wanted and, at my request, put every detail in writing. It was a big job - completely replacement of two systems on two floors including roof mounted AC and basement and attic furnaces. His crew were respectful, professional and always on time. The work proceeded exactly as it was described. Construction messes were cleaned up at the end of every workday. The work was finished on time. As in every big project, there was a "punch list" of details that needed to be attended to. Darrow came out immediately and took care of ALL the details big and small on the list. The new heating system worked perfectly and efficiently this winter. I'm looking forward to seeing the new AC system work this summer. I spoke to a number of companies and got a number of quotes for the work to be done. Darryl wasn't the least expensive - his quote fell in the middle range -- but he was responsive, adaptable and communicative. Very glad I chose his company for the work."

"Bob was just as good for me as for others who have written. My previous company had gone out of business. Bob checked out our system, replaced the air filters, and even recommended that we needed this service only once a year, not twice as the previous company had told us. I'll call him again."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Mission Hills, CA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
