My a/c guy was not the cheapest, but after the installation, looking at the equipment chosen and quality of the installation, I’m thoroughly convinced I received the best value for the price!! I have already started telling others about them! I will need to replace my upstairs unit in the next year and won’t seek new proposals. I will be using My A/C guy! I’m an honest customer who isn’t paid in any way to give this review. But I will absolutely back local businesses who do an honest job, for an honest price. I was telling someone, because the price was so well within range of others, I expected them to cut a couple of small corners. They didn’t! I expected to find a new plenum made out of insulation board which doesn’t last more than a few years, and I expected cheaper equipment, but was totally impressed that they cut no corners!!"

I was previously told by other companies I would only receive a one year warranty. With this company, I received a 5 yr warranty on the part with a 1 year warranty on their work. You can’t go wrong with them!!!"

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
