"Mike Zam and his worker Albert cleaned all my air ducts, registers, and dryer vent. I paid $530 for the first 15 ducts and vents. After that I paid $20 per additional duct and vent. I paid $100 for the dryer vent cleaning for a total of $740. While the work was being completed Mr. Zam made a strong sales pitch for another $1400 to be paid for an Air Scrubbers Plus--a whole house air purifier which is attached to the furnace. He also strongly advised me to pay another $310 to have the coil blades in my furnace cleaned. (I got him down to $270) While he was taking the bottom part of my Lennox furnace apart he received a phone call. He then told me he had to leave and than another service man would call me the next day to do the job. As a result, I had time to call my HVAC service man to discuss these high price additions. He informed me that neither was needed. I checked online regarding the Air Scubbers Plus and found out that the whole- house air purifier's effectiveness greatly diminishes the farther away a room is from the unit. After the men (about 2 1/2 hrs or so) I discovered a lower register hanging off the wall in my living room. In my bedroom the upper and lower registers were reinstalled backwards, making it impossible to slide the lever controlling the louvers. To move the lever necessitated a hammer and a screwdriver. My recommendation to anyone considering air duct cleaning is to watch the process closely. I did not with Eco Friendly Services. And I regret it."

"During December Mel did our HVAC maintenance, diagnosed the need for and installed a new condensate pump for our downstairs system and added a UVC germicidal system for our new upstairs HVAC system. We always request Mel for his expertise, knowledge and willingness to explain, and he always does an excellent job. We also had a new upstairs HVAC that was installed by Robbie and John and subsequent duct cleaning and disinfecting by Thomas. They all did an excellent job and were good and patient at explaining, answering questions and cleaning up the work area."

"Our water was full of iron and left our toilets, showers, sinks, and even parts of washing machine orange. We have been dealing with this issue for many years and were sick of dealing with it. Recently, Bryan at Southeast Plumbing and Gas installed a water filtration system to our existing ( salt) water softener. It’s has been about 2 months now and so far the iron on any surfaces has not returned. Before the new system , the iron would have started to return within a few days. We are very satisfied with this new system so far and are looking forward to no more terrible iron or terrible smell. Our water also had a terrible sulfur , sometimes , metallic smell. Bryan said he could guarantee no iron in water once I had new filtration system installed but could not guarantee the odor would be gone. But he also told us that he felt that once he installed new filtration system that with the carbon filters that most probably the smell would go away or smell better. Well, he was right - the new filters took away the smell too, except in faucets that do not get used daily. Also, he thought he was going to have to add some parts to my system, but after checking my existing system , he told me that my system already had those parts on it-he could save me$200.00. I thanked him for being so honest. He could have pocketed the $200.00 and I wouldn’t have known that my system already had those parts. So he was very honest to tell me that and I really appreciated it!! We are very pleased with our new filtration system. Bryan did a great job and we appreciate all of his efforts to do his best for us to have a water system that gives us fresh smelling - no iron-good water!! He was very kind and respectful. They are experts in their field and they don't beat around the bush trying to sell you bells and whistles. They did a fast one day removal and installation, providing before and after pictures of the entire operation. "I needed to add a bathroom and utility area, but did not want to increase a footprint of the house and decided to incorporate my carport into a living area. It allowed me to save on roofing and foundation, but created certain logistical difficulties in the project. Mike and his crew have creatively addressed all the issues which allowed me to maximize the living area while still being compliant with all the building codes. Work on the project was well planned and performed according to the schedule. In fact it took longer to wait for building permit from the county than the project itself. I also wanted to point out that Mike possesses a rare quality for contractor, he is very punctual and responsive. He had returned all my calls/e-mails within a day and had addressed all my concerns or requests in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to work with Mike and his crew and I would hire them for my next project without hesitation."
