Their truck came in the next day with our items, clothes dry cleaned and all! They always called or texted back immediately, their customer service was wonderful. When the house was finished they let me pick out everything and did exactly what I wanted. I even let them do a black splash on their own which I love now. They rewired the house, new doors and everything. They totally increased property value about 75 thousand dollars for our house. They are amazing people who do is all!"

"Can't imagine better service, or price. It was raining on the original date of work, and they immediately scheduled another work day in the same week. They called when they were running late, and when they showed up the workmen were professional and downright pleasant to talk with. I wasn't able to get onto the roof, so they took pictures to show the site before and after. The people I dealt with knew what work needed to be done, as well as my scheduling requirements, and seemed genuinely concerned with my satisfaction as a customer. I have no doubt that MJ Home Services will be the first contractor I call for my next repair."

"FD folks seemed  good on the front end of this job, doing the demolition, removing damaged materials and placing the drying machinery.  After several days, they monitored the humidity and removed the equipment. However my insurance agent felt that they placed more fans and dehumidifiers than were necessary.  Additionally that those fans and dehumidifiers selected were more powerful than was needed.  
When they removed some wet carpeting and padding, they used a much larger vehicle than was needed for that volume of material.  In other words at every turn they seemed to take options to push up the cost of the job.
As a layperson, I can't know for sure what is the accurate and necessary number and type of machinery, but this is the second time that such issues have come up on a Flood Doctor job.  I then go through a fairly drawn out period of dispute between the insurance agent and FD and I have to try and mediate between them.  
Another issue that came up is that FD technicians moved some ceiling lights in the remediation process, but then misplaced or lost the screws that held those lights in place.  This ended up being a big problem as the screws weren't in stock, had to be special ordered taking 6 weeks.  I had to get an electrician to re-install them, when a handyman had tried and failed.  FD refused to take responsibility both for having lost the screws originally and also for any reimbursement of the associated costs to replace them and reinstall the lights.
At one point in our back and forth on this, they made indirect threats related to debt collectors and associated impact on my credit record.  Despite these remarks, at this point I have made my final payment, but minus a portion of the cost for the ceiling light issue.  I am waiting for them to cash it.

"I called Sykes Plumbing services on a Saturday to come out and look at a leak in my laundry room. The young lady I spoke with was professional and pleasant. She confirmed availability of a plumber to provide same day service and provided a ballpark estimate of what the repair may cost based on my description of the problem. She also shared that there was a fee (very reasonable) to diagnose the problem and if I approved the work to be completed then the fee would be applied to the cost of the repairs. This was fine with me. Mr. Sykes, a master plumber and the owner of the company, arrived within the specified timeframe and wore shoe covers to protect my floor. Mr. Sykes was professional, neat in appearance and pleasant to deal with. He introduced himself, handed me his card and went to work. He assessed the problem and found that there was no plumbing problem but rather my wash machine was leaking. Although Mr. Sykes did not make any repairs since the leak was an appliance issue, I would call Sykes Plumbing Services again. Mr. Sykes was honest in his diagnoses and did not try to make a job where there wasn't one. I rated him an "A" in all categories as a result."

"First of all, great communication with Hugh throughout the whole process. Scheduling was easy and convenient. As promised, Hugh called approximately 30 minutes ahead of arrival to give an ETA. Then the magic happened. Hugh cleaned our extremely grimey Berber carpets in the bedrooms, hallway and stairs. We'd let them go far too long and I was concerned they wouldn't come clean, but they look like new! We will definitely use this service again - before the carpets get so bad!
