"We called on a Thursday requesting a quote on a complete A/C replacement. Tyler came out the same day. Tyler was very professional and answered all of my questions. My husband came home from work just as Tyler was finishing up, and he was happy to answer questions my husband had, as well. The quote for the complete replacement was in my e-mail inbox before the end of business that day. We accepted the quote and hired HomePro for the replacement. Tyler's crew was out first thing on Monday morning. The crew was so polite and and efficient. When I came home from work the crew was just finishing up, and other than the new unit in my garage and outside, you would never have know they were there. They cleaned up everything, answered all my questions, and helped me to figure out how to use the new thermostat in the house. We have signed the yearly service agreement with HomePros and are looking forward to a long relationship with Tyler and the HomePros crew."

"This story goes back a few months but I want you to have the complete context. Back in March 2022, I contacted SW Florida Electric to service the Briggs and Stratton generator at our home. The generator was installed well before we bought the house so I cannot comment on how it was serviced in the past. The technician came and gave the unit a clean bill of health but said he could not touch the regulator because that wasn't his job. He also suggested that we sign a three year service agreement because it would save us money. That made sense at the time given that the generator was important and I wanted to ensure it was looked after correctly. Fast forward to September and the arrival of Hurricane Ian. The generator failed after four hours leaving us without power for 3.5 days. When they came out to look at the unit about a week after the storm, I was told the unit was not worth fixing and they would send me a quote for replacing it. Strange that it was fine back in March when they took a $1,500 service contract for it but then when it failed to work, it was not worth fixing. They did provide a quote to replace it that was thousands of dollars more than competitive quotes. I wrote to them asking them to cancel the service contract. Nothing. No acknowledgement. Just crickets. I don't normally write bad reviews but these guys have stretched my patience. It's pretty simple really. I don't need a service contract for a generator that they say is not worth fixing so please refund my money."

"We needed the ductwork installed in our condo for a range hood. I called several companies but no one wanted to do the work until I got in touch with Wicked Cool. Andy, the owner, came out the same day I called. He explained everything to us and made us feel very comfortable. He submitted all the appropriate paperwork to our condo association and had the job completed one week from the initial call. While his men were working at our condo we had a few questions. Andy picked up the phone and answered our questions. Then he came over to make sure everything was going smoothly. I couldn't be happier with the experience. I also decided to have them service our A/C unit. I recommend Wicked Cool for all your HVAC needs."

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have used Engineered air for many years and have a service contract with them and had no problem. However, 3 weeks ago they came to my house because I had a freon leak. They diagnosed it and called me the next morning with a price to fix and said the condenser coil was still under warranty by carrier and the part was in stock and they would have in 24/48 hours. After a week and no follow up I started calling daily trying to get an update only to be told the parts guy didn’t have an update from carrier. I then spoke to customer service supervisor who said she would follow up. No one ever called me back so I had to call daily to see if any progress was made. I finally reached out to carrier and they requested the purchase order the company so they could track the part. Carrier emailed them and I called and requested it. But still could not get any answer. Finally after 16 days of no air they said they did not have a po number. When I asked how they ordered the part on Oct 14 with out a PO number or part number they said they needed to talk to parts manager again. They never called back again so I had to call again only to be told they could not order the part. I then hired another company and they came out and had part within 24 hours and fixed my unit. Because the part was under warranty Carrier had to confirm that the part was not previously ordered by another vendor for our unit before they released the part. It had not been. Engineered Air lied about ordering the part and for 3 weeks led me to believe they were trying to get it and then said they could not get the part. I made numerous calls to management only to leave messages on voice mail and no one returned my call. I would never use them or recommend to anyone else"

"They could not get a permit in 5 months after contract signing and then Cancelled contract without Cause. This left me without a system and no Tax credit or savings from the system promised. The contract is written to favor them almost on every issue and is small print on the back of the sales agreement. I sent them a certified letter giving them more time to complete the work without a return response."

"If I could give them 10 stars I would! Having been in the service and construction industries for over 20 years, I've dealt with a lot of providers and contractors. I was very fortunate to come across SW FL Air Quality for a last-minute job that needed to be completed ASAP. From my initial conversation with Laura and Abby in their office to working with Mike on a proposal and timeline, I was very impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and overall attention that they give to their customers. Everything that I was told from Laura and Abby matched with Mike said and vice versa. Its not often that the office and field are on the same page but these guys were a cohesive team. Their pricing was fair and they were able to get to me exactly when they said (actually a day sooner), which was 45 days ahead of their competition. The workmanship, attention to detail, and knowledge from Mike and his crew is exactly what a contractor should provide. I was greatly impressed with everyone at SW FL Air Quality and if you live within 100 miles of their office, you are doing yourself or your customers a disservice if you dont use them. I will recommend them to anyone that needs HVAC work...fan for life! Great work guys and thank you to SW FL Air for doing exactly what you said you would, when you said you would, and providing my project the experise needed to get it done right!!! 10 star review"

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Naples, FL

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
