"background: several weeks ago your technician performed a tune-up service on my furnace that had been previously paid..in doing so he cleaned the inside of my humidifier.. Last week we noticed a fairly loud vibrating noise in the furnace..2 days ago I called your office and requested someone come and investigate the noise. Today your technician Mike Mayes found vent pipes apart, pipes not glued, and a dirty filter in the humidified that needed to be replaced..Mike tried to find a replacement filter, even going up town Williamsburg..no luck. He will have someone from Nelson to bring a replacement. I had previously asked for estimate on two air vent ceiling covers 14 X 24.. Mike said he asked today for someone to give me a quote.. We found the noise maybe coming from the humidifier...maybe..."

"I had my SC evaporator unit freeze up right before the temps started reaching 100. I called that night, and they came out the next morning to investigate. ( had to wait for the unit to defrost before they could diagnose it) We discovered that it was low on Freon, which caused the freezing, but when we opened up the cover to the evaporator, it was completely rusted. The lack of airflow caused the unit to rust out. This was the original AC installed 24 years ago. They also discovered that the builder undersized all the duct-work. the size of the return, couldn't supply enough air to the system. (yes, i checked the math, and they were correct). They gave me several options on replacing the unit, and I went with the most efficient, highest SEER rating, since we're planning on staying in the house at least another 10 years. They replaced both the furnace, and the AC unit, and ran all new, larger duct-work, they arrived promptly at 8 AM, and the crew finished up around 6 PM. There was an issue with the mainboard controller (factory problem), and they followed up and replaced it. The whole crew was polite, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. The new unit is much quieter, the airflow downstairs is dramatically better, and hopefully, I'l start to see those energy savings in my next Dominion Power bill :)"

"Rich came out to replace our sludge-filled, overheating, failing old water heater. It was a difficult situation and he took the time and had the patience to do the job right. The fee was under the national average, reasonable. The water heater is located in a closet off the master bath and at first it would not drain. Rich knew just what to do. Took his time to get old one out and did not mess up our house. Cleaned up behind himself and left us with a larger water heater (as requested) and worked out how to fit it into our small location. Replaced all the plumbing to the water heater and now we have a better made, self-cleaning, more efficient electric water heater to provide us with lots of clean hot water."
