"I needed a kitchen faucet replaced. I had the new faucet. When I called Milltown, they said they couldnt give me an estimate over the phone, and had to send someone first to see if they could do the job with my faucet. It would cost $85 to do this, whether or not I hired them. The repairman came at the appointed time, was polite and pleasant, and told me it would cost $419, and this was a standard fee. So, it turns out I could have been given a firm estimate over the phone, and had I been, I would have said no thank you and gone elsewhere. It took less than an hour for the faucet to be replaced. Neurosurgery costs less money per hour. I told this to the rep from Milltown who called me a few days later to see how it went. I told them how shocked and disappointed I was with the cost. I said that without a cost adjustment, I would write an appropriate review. It's been a month and no one got back to me. A compete ripoff! Neurosurgery costs less per hour! UPDATE: I was contacted a few weeks ago by the customer service rep who was extremely responsive and asked me what I thought was a fair price for the job, which I gave him, and he honored my request to refund me the difference. Thank you."

"Bob helped me out to replace old ducting for a kitchen hood vent from a smaller size to a bigger one to prepare for new larger kitchen hood that I will be installing. He went above and beyond what I was was hoping for the project including adding a thermal break, additional insulation and damper to the vent that I did not think of. I very appreciated Uri suggestion when he recommended to me another alternative at the initial visit and gave me a few quotes to choose from. Also, they got very busy, they were trying to finish up some outside jobs and The owner explained that it was going to be at least 3 weeks. He let me know right a way if that didn't work for me, they could refund me the cost asap. I appreciated his honesty and his desire not to tie up my money. They came to look at the job, 3-4 weeks after our phone conversation. There were 2 guys- they were thorough as they looked and took some measurements. They were also on the phone with the owner. I told them what I thought and what I was trying to figure out. I was told they would have to get back to me with the estimate and other particulars, and that was fine. My situation changed and I couldn't actually put in the time to deal with such a job regardless of what they told me. But the owner told me the job was bigger than I thought- they could do some repairs, but it wouldn't be sufficient with the amount of damage- and it would definitely take more that 8 hours, probably 3 weeks. I didn't have that kind of time or money, and asked for a refund. I had to go through Angie's list Refund Process, but it was okay and it took a while, but it was done. A week or two later the owner called to see if I got my refund and just to follow up and check in. I really appreciated his follow up. He emphasized that he wanted me to be satisfied either way. That's what I call GREAT Business."
