"The two technicians from Pure Plumbing, Del and Ron, were extremely professional, punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and demonstrated superior attention to detail. The sink in question was particularly difficult to remove, and installation of the new replacement sink proved equally difficult, if not more so. Del and Ron, however, charged right ahead and in good spirits, doubling down when necessary to get the job done... and the results were nothing short of beautiful. When the job was completed, the area was left clean and free of any packing debris from the new sink and disposal. Pure Plumbing is a pure pleasure to do business with. A+"

"Our heat stopped working, of course right when it's the coldest time of the year. We contacted Aire Serv, and they were fantastic to work with. They initially thought it was our thermostat, but within two weeks, the furnace as a whole quit working. They ended up replacing our furnace and crediting the cost of the thermostat. Our old furnace was past it's recommended age. It turned out to be tough to remove, as it was the original furnace. We suspect it was built before the frame surrounding it. It required cutting into the ceiling drywall, but it was obvious their staff has encountered this in the past, and they showed their experience in dealing with such a difficult situation. You can tell that this is a company devoted to striving for excellent customer service. They answered all questions/concerns we had and made special accomodations to address our issues quickly. They care about the details like wearing booties, covering carpets/furniture, making sure not to do any damage, and performing full cleanup when the work was done. Their technical staff was great to work with, including Jaz, Charlie, Julian and Jiame (sp?). Also, the office staff of Shelly and Ryan also displayed wonderful customer service. Special kudos to Charlie who took the time to answer any questions or concerns we had about the new furnace and removing the old one. We would recommend this company to others for their Cooling/Heating needs. If you are the type of person that likes to do annual maintenance checks, I would also recommend asking about their yearly plans which includes discounts for services, free checkups, and priority scheduling."

"5 stars for Lee’s AC and plumbing! I took a chance in hiring them because of the brilliant presentation of their team sales person RICKY! He not only bent over backwards to convince me that his company was the best choice in providing and installing my new AC unit but continued in overwatch to make sure that the job went exactly as what was promised and that I was completely satisfied which I am. I also want to commend both Caesar and Zach S for their technical efforts in making sure that the project went without a hitch. Along with the AC portion of the project, I was impressed by the plumbing side of their company who fulfilled the membership portion of plumbing tasks which were promised within the free 1 year membership which was included in the cost of the AC project. Due to the diligence of Ricky and the rest of the team, I will surely remain a paid member for years to come after the free one year has lapsed. Thank you Ricky and please thank the rest of the team that made all of this possible! 🙏 Jeff Prince"

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in North Las Vegas, NV

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
