"All of our windows and sliding doors probably dated back to when the townhome was built in the 70's. They were single pane and didn't work very well. Five star windows did an excellent job on the install.  I would recommend the quality of their product and install to anyone.
One of the reasons for the expense is the HOA does not allow one to just replace windows, you have to go back into the stucco and re-frame the windows. Several people have told me that not only is this the right way to do it, it saves aggravation later on because since the window is into the frame of the building itself, there are no issues with settling.
The only issue we had is that someone forgot to pull a permit with the city of Saratoga and the inspector showed up for the pre-closing inspection and shut them down until they pulled the permit. This is a contractor who had just done over a dozen installations in our complex; they should know better. The result was a little bit of nail-biting on our part as this was just before thanksgiving and we had scheduled cleaners, handymen, etc in anticipation of their completion date.  As it was, they did complete it two days behind schedule so everything worked out OK"

"I must say I am so glad that it worked out, because he did a great job.  I had a front and back door that were not sitting right in the frames, the doors were damaged and I felt they needed to be replaced.  Well, doors are expensive, these would have been even more so since they are not a standard size.  I shopped around and the price for two exterior doors in the dimensions I needed were going to cost me nearly $4000.00.  Carlos had a better idea.  He suggested that he work on the door, replacing parts, even portions of wood, hinges and hardware. He felt they would be as good as new. I was skeptical, but I figured if it didn't work I'd be ordering doors anyway..so I gave it a try.  Am I glad I did.  The doors look great,  & they FUNCTION perfectly! I would highly recommend Carlos to anyone and I plan on using him for many more jobs I have around my very old house."

"I called Todd and asked him to look at replacing my old redwood deck.  I had found a very nice composite decking and asked him to install it with new framing.  He suggested that we look at different deck designs before we committed to a pattern.  I ordered the decking material and his crew started to dismantle the old deck and haul it away.  He had not installed this decking before and it came with deck clips so there were not fasterners on the surface.  He researched the installation of the deck from the website of the manufacturer and had his crew start installing it.  It took about 7 days to complete the installation and the finished work looks great. His crew is very professional and don't cut corners on materals for framing or finish work."

"Process began with a visit from Rob Rowe who was very punctual and knowledgable about available products.  He provided an initial estimate and then my wife and i decided on a more elaborate window design that was going to be much more costly and out of our budget.  Rob negotiated a bit with his supplier, worked with us and we were able to meet in the middle on price.
The installation was completed in a couple of days by Javier and his crew.  When we found some cracking in the stucco patch work they did around one of our doors, Javier returned to complete the work to our satisfaction.  Later, we asked Javier to return to fine tune the doors a bit so they would lock more smoothly and securely and he came right over to handle it.  
We've been very happy with the doors so far and appreciate knowing that they are guaranteed for as long as we own our home.
