"Swift by name, and definitely by nature! At first, I thought “Swift” was just their last name—but it’s also the perfect description of their service. Scheduling was a breeze. They could’ve come out the same day, but since it was rainy and not too hot, I chose the first appointment the next morning. I received a text with my technician’s photo and a call about 30 minutes before arrival—great communication! EJ, my technician, was kind, professional, and very respectful of my not-yet-settled, slightly messy home. He was well-spoken, got right to work after a brief friendly chat, and checked both the inside and outside components of the system. Believe it or not, he didn’t find anything wrong. He mentioned it could be an intermittent issue, but rather than guessing or upselling me on unnecessary repairs, he was honest and transparent. That kind of integrity is rare and incredibly appreciated—especially in a specialized service industry. Tom, who was with EJ, handled the sales side but was equally knowledgeable. He patiently answered my (many) questions and explained what could be going on with the system. He also introduced me to their Comfort Club, which is genuinely a great value. He drove 40 minutes (I know this because the have a cool tracker) to come to my house. The AC was fine, again. I asked about a box on the side of the unit. Long story short, the previous homeowners had the power company put a Demand Restrictor on the unit which is limiting electricity to my AC and causing my sleepless nights. That'll be rectified ASAP, by the power company. "No Charge," said EJ."

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.
Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.
The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
