I paid them $9000 out which $2000 is going to be rebated, part from the manufacturer and part from the local utility. My overall experience with the install was excellent. "We had a complex leak situation in our detached cottage, and also needed new pipes put it. The plumber, Ben, was very skilled and knowledgeable, and made several different suggestions to help us save a lot of money (by not having to install a new secondary water heater or having to open up more of the walls than necessary). We will absolutely call on their services again if we need any plumbing work done!"

"I made an appointment for Thursday morning and the man arrived at 11 A.M. He completely inspected the ice maker and told me that the water valve that fills the ice maker has a leak. He told me what he needed to do to fix the problem and what parts were needed. He ordered the parts and told me that he made another appointment to install the new parts and finish the repairs."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
