"It went great!  We had two other people come out and nobody could offer what Climate and Energy Solutions could.  They offered rebates which made our duct work and insulation almost free!  The other companies were higher priced and did not offer the rebates that Climate and Energy Solutions did.  We had it installed three months ago and have already received our $3000.00 rebate!  Our PGE bills have been so much lower with the new energy saving products that we had installed."

"The company was very responsive and professional. The representative made a mistake in the window count (29 windows needed replacement but 28 were delivered) and he gave me the extra window at no cost. The installers did a great job, but broke an item in my home. The company committed to make things whole. I was very satisfied with the professionalism, workmanship, and quality of the product."

"We are a large family, and require heating and air conditioning, HVAC, throughout the year. At the same time, we were looking for a solution that would not cost us an arm and leg. So without hesitation, we consulted with Charlie from Landmark Energy Upgrades. Charlie, was referred to us by my sister in law that used them in the past for a similar work. Landmark Energy Upgrades really proved to be energy efficiency experts and audited our home thoroughly while patiently answering our questions. They not only made us aware of the total energy consumption, but also how we can cut down the utility bills. Charlie and his team have been accommodating in finding the right solution for us while totally staying within our estimate. <br />"

"It is a project. It took time, effort, and energy to learn all the aspects involved. The team at NRG was always there to lend a hand. Tiffany, Andy, Leslie, and Daniel were all very good in providing me with a sound board with which to reverberate."

"This concerned me because that meant it would be producing less power than we contracted for, so they increased the quality (better panels - higher output power), which satisfied me. This was one of the first installs they had done in my area as they are a California based company, they were not very familiar with NY state/Con Edison requirements either. They have made good though."

"It was an easy process as I paid for the lease upfron, after the job was installedt. They monotor the system and also insure the system for the twenty years for production and deffects/breakage, that the solor system wlll be on our home which saves me money. Chances are they will give me the system at the end of that time as they have to repair the roof back to preinstall condition if removed. We went with non China made product which was very important for me as the China manufacturing market has caused many issues in the market that I am involved in. Thus I will not support by purchasing product even if cheaper since they do not have laws against stealing patents. SunRun andSolar Universe worked with me on this as the initial proposal was for hina based pannels. <br />"

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Oroville, CA

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
