Steve is a highly reputable person and explains things easily for people not in the Heating & A/C industry. He is very straight-forward with his quote and doesn't try to pressure or scare you into purchasing something you do not need. Their 10-year labor warranty is also very impressive, and they stand behind their work. A couple of weeks prior, they were able to take a look at my old furnace right away despite having tons of calls due to the first cold snap of the year. The furnace install only took about three hours and was smooth as can be. The installer took great care in making sure floors were protected when hauling equipment in and out of the house. He also made sure to repair some ductwork that extended off the furnace. My suggestion is to make sure you call Home Comfort Systems if you need service or replacement of your furnace and/or air conditioning."

While I probably could have scrounged around for a slightly better price, the speed, professionalism and quality of the work more than made up for it - and currently being unemployed, I don't say that lightly! They literally came THE NEXT DAY and did the entire install - remove old unit, rework the ducting, install an air cleaner, dress the wiring - all in one day! The job was done with expert quality - no loose wires or hoses lying around, everything square - and they even came back a few days later to make sure the sump pump and humidifier wire working correctly. finally, they called me a week after that, to make sure I got the Peoples Gas rebate paperwork together! "I did a full HVAC replacement (2 furnaces, 2 AC units) with Shavitz and have nothing but good things to say. First, the quote process with Ken was both informative and honest. The installation team led by Mirek was great. They were efficient, clean and walked me through everything. All piping and ductwork was replaced in the utility closets and at the AC units and all was properly insulated. Their work is clean and clearly shows they know what they are doing. It was a two-day install and Ken made sure to stop by on day 1 to ensure that everything was completed as we discussed. The furnaces are even quieter than expected! It’s too cold to run the AC units and they will need a return visit to get that system activated but so far so good. I would highly recommend this team to anyone."

"Initial estimate was scheduled with no problem, they took the time to answer all the questions I had about the furnace replacement. I received estimated from 6 other HVAC companies and American Family was basically the lowest, but I also felt comfortable with the level of knowledge and experience that was conveyed at the estimate. I scheduled the install and was a bit disappointed that the installers did not show until 10 am or so, but that was not a big problem as I had assumed the job would take all day. The job took longer than expected (past 7pm) and the installer wound up having to replace an entire part of the intake duct work that he did not expect to, but in the end the unit and ductwork looked clean and sturdy and well intalled. The owner called for a follow up appointment and he came in to look at the install and make sure all the settings were correct on the furnace. He answered any questions I had at that time. All in all a good experience with a good company"
