"Excellent. CVS was highly recommended by our neighbor for providing quality service at reasonable rates. This was proven with the recent service and diagnostic work on our units. Both Mark and Coleman were prompt, thorough, and very professional. We will definitely have them service our HVAC in the future."

"I have had this company do repairs in the past but I am also on a maintenance agreement with them. The maintenance agreement covers a 10 year manufacturers warranty on my gas backup heat pump/air conditioner. There was an warranty issue with the unit and it was handled hassle free by Mack Morris. They are a very professional company, on time and honest repairs. Been dealing with Mack Morris for 10 years and recommend them for heating and air repairs and installation."

"I pretty much joined Angie's list to leave a review for R.P. Perkins plumbing.
Tankless Water Heater. Nine years ago i wanted to replace my gas water heater with tankless but no one at the major big lot stores knew anything about them. This time I was determined. I went back on a Saturday and was quite disappointed that Lowe's and Home Depot were still just as ignorant as ever. I looked up the Rennai web site and they listed three dealers who would contact me if I left my contact information. I was serious about getting this done so I left my information.
R.P. Perkins was the only one to call me on that same weekend, which was a great comfort. It was Saturday afternoon when the old gas water heater started leaking all over the garage floor. I left the info on the web site Saturday night and R.P. called me Sunday afternoon. Bob told me how the process would go, discussed how many devices and how big the house was and we came to the same conclusion on which model would be best, and he described which supplier he got the tankless heater from and that it could be available within 2 days.
Shortening the story, R.P. Perkins was dependable, fast and reliable, and very experienced with tankless installation. They are well qualified in handling gas lines as well as the water, and the workmanship on the lines in the garage was professional. The day of the installation everything went right off like clockwork, verifying their experience and quality work.
I took some information from him concerning modernizing my bathrooms. I would highly recommend R.P. Perkins for your tankless water heater and am confident they would use the same professional approach to all plumbing jobs."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Palmyra, VA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
