Customers say: Super punctual

"Albert Nahman Plumbing was helpful and extremely professional. The work done by Nicholas was resourceful (involving hooking up a new heater with different requirements into a gas supply and vent system installed thirty years earlier) and carefully executed. He's a knowledgeable, courteous, and highly skilled professional."

"With our rather old cabin-style home, the plumbing from the kitchen sink had a plug of hardened grease over 30 years old. We discovered this the first day when they drilled through it with a snake; we had them return a couple of days later with a hydrojet unit to clean it out. Our house is located in the mountains, and may not be particularly easy to get the equipment out here, but they had very little difficulty. They used a lengthy hose to go around the back of the house, then sent the nozzle through the pipe behind the trap to clear it out. I was originally concerned about navigating past the elbow joints in the pipe, and the fact that we have a septic tank that I didn't want to fill up; but neither was a problem, and the job was done in about an hour. The sound of the drain flowing never sounded so sweet."

"They were prompt, courteous, and did a great job. We had old asbestos ductwork in our house which was built in the 1950s. The person from Associated Heating explained why they needed to replace them (the ducts were crushed in places, which can release the asbestos), described the process, and also determined why we had no heat to one room (no ducts!). They also made a section in our garage safer, where the current pipe was too close to flammable wood/materials. We were very happy with the work done."

"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"Our gas furnace wouldn't light and we weren't sure what the problem was but smelled gas everytime we tried to get it working and thought it best to call the experts. They came quickly, assessed the problem without issue and took care of it without wasting a lot of our time or theirs. They were very professional and nice. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone."

"Our house was undergoing external remodeling. All the pounding on the house by the construction crew seemed to dislodge the pipe connection under one of our master bathroom sinks. One evening, my husband suddenly had a minor flood when he ran water in his sink. <br /> Within a day, I was able to schedule Budget Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. Since Pat was coming over, I also had him look at the other minor items that were bothering me with our plumbing. He was very professional, kept me updated on what he was doing and the costs involved. I found him to be very reasonable. My dad is a retired plumber, so I liked that Pat was very tidy and tested the new pipe connection to verify that the leak was totally gone. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Pescadero, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
