"About a month ago, a young man from Power Home Remodeling - The Quality Assurance Manager, Alex P. came to my home to inspect the work one of his crews did on my home...they replaced all the gutters and trim...$9,000 worth of gutters/trim....He needed to get up into my attic space b/c I was told the only way to 'certify' the warranty was to see the work (soffits) from inside as well...he would not take NO for an answer....tells me again about certifying the warranty so finally, I let him up there...lo and behold he says he finds water damage...I look at what he sees and I can't say yes or no that it is exactly what he is telling me... He is very aggressive during his 'pitch' for a new roof...he says that as 'management' he can bundle the gutters and roof together...he writes all of this down on a piece of paper (which I am in possession of)...says he can do both jobs for $24,900...roof and gutters... He shows me the figures...I see it on paper...how much it would cost and its monthly payment...I speak with my wife and we decide to put $10k down...he says to me that $10k will come off the $24,900 once the financing is set...he writes all of this down right in front of me...tells me the $10k will come off the loan as a down payment ... THIS WAS A BOLD FACED LIE... At no time did he EVER say the cost of this project would be $34,000+...my paper work that he showed me, DID NOT have that figure on it...if it did...I would have said NO...he told me the entire project would be $24,900...not $34,900... Had I not looked at the financing paper when it came in, I would have never known I was deceived...at no time was the cost of both projects more than $24,900...I call the company to complain...I tell them what I have in front of me...the figures that were agreed upon by my wife and I and their man Alex P...all they can say is...you signed the agreement!!! Over and over this is what I am told...I ask for Alex P to call me and to this date (6/12/25) I have yet to hear from the guy. Why is that? He's the Quality Assurance Manager...the guy who told me b/c he is management, he can give me a better price...this companies practices are deceptive. Yup I signed the agreement but was told something totally different! I am happy with the product and work but come on...everything you read for reviews on this company is 100% accurate...from how they ended up at my home (doing work in the neighborhood...sure they were!) I just threw away $10k because of this companies deceptive practices!!!! And again, why hasn't Alex P called me back? B/c they got what they wanted and know they are wrong! I have received responses from the company and both responses DO NOT address the deceptive practices of their QA manager, Alex P...I know what I was told and what I was shown for a total price. They make it as if I am an idiot and am making this stuff up...I am not!!! I am not saying I am devoid of blame here b/c I trusted them and in the end, I was misled by this company!"

"I had a FANTASTIC experience with LCT! It started with a prompt response from them, setting up an appointment the next day after a tree fell on my house. James came down and explained everything thoroughly and gave me some options. After talking to a few other vendors, I knew I wanted to go with LCT. Their pricing was better than the other quotes and James was great to work with. Before the crew started any work I met the owner, Luis, and knew I had chosen the right company. He was just as great as James, very thorough and let me know what would be happening. In addition to needing the roof replaced we also had some damage to rafters and decking to replace. After the job was complete, Luis did a thorough inspection of the work and made sure I was happy with everything. The crew did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier with the work. "We chose Golden Group Construction because they replaced our neighbor's roof a few months earlier so I had watched them work and watched the clean-up. Our large skylight was damaged and began leaking after Tropical Storm Elsa in July, and we had a battle with our insurance company which delayed hiring a roofing contractor. We asked 3 roofing contractors for proposals. Xavier was terrific; he paid close attention to the particular problems of our very old house (1899), he recommended the new Velux solar skylight and explained the tax rebate, the proposal was correct. We asked him about replacing some leaking gutters and rotted facia boards, he added that quickly. We had to wait a while for the new skylight to come in, it was delayed because of COVID. And then they scheduled us quickly. The crew showed up on time, they worked very hard and did excellent work. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. Xavier thought our roof had 2 layers of asphalt shingles. Once they started tearing off the old roof they discovered 3 layers! That wasn't a problem, no upcharge. Xavier was able to schedule the gutter fabricator come a few days in advance to drop off the gutters so I could paint them on the ground (our trim is not white) before installation, which saved us hiring a house painter just for that. They did a great job cleaning up, which is unusual for a roof replacement (I had a very bad experience with a previous house I owned). They were so careful, there was no damage at all to the exterior of our house or our landscaping. They provided us with very detailed written instructions to prepare our house in advance. That was very helpful. We used their 18 month no-interest financing, which was really important because we were not planning ahead to replace the roof and we could apply for their financing and get approval very quickly. Much more quickly than if we'd applied for a home equity line of credit (that would have taken 6 weeks). I highly recommend them."
