- A system in a condo where the electric bill was nearly $200 in a mild spring month. After several hours of diagnosis, the technician discovered a wire short that was causing both the heating and cooling to turn on simultaneously. The charge for this was minimal as it turned out there was no actual part to replace. Although I don't recall the actual charge, I do recall feeling they were more than fair.
- A zone board in a multi-zone, single unit system failed. They diagnosed the problem and jerry-rigged a solution that kept the unit heating the house, only on one thermostat instead of two. A reasonable solution until the zone board (which has been discontinued) can be replaced. Not a cheap repair at $279 but not outrageous either; it did take several hours. The unit is still working 3 months later.
- An emergency call in a townhouse on a 98-degree day with a toddler in the family on a Friday past 6 pm. As it turned out (partially luck, I'm sure), a technician was in the area and it was fixed - not just diagnosed but FIXED - within 2 hours. I had cautioned that a repair probably wouldn't be possible until Monday...but Gand M really came through.

"Requested a quote for a heat pump early morning received a phone call within a half hour to set appointment to inspect the unit. Came to my house yet that morning. Diagnosed the problem and explained what he found clearly. Called for availability of the required part, which happened to be in stock during these days of things being out of stock. "Jason Hogg did an exceptional job installing our new hot water heater. We have an Apollo heating system which largely depends on hot water flowing to HVAC. No water heater =No heat. The tank he replaced had lots of issues many due the last technician who installed it. Between water pressure way to high, Inappropriate ventilation, and several other deep concerns which basically broke down a 5 year old water heater. Jason was excellent at explaining what went wrong and what & why the new heater was need. We now have a bigger tank hooked up correctly! We will be adding better ventilation for the new tank. There were also issues with the older turning handles on our main water shut off that he replaced. I also must add that we had another before technician before Jason who came to service our water heater we requested. He informed us what we needed a technician for the Apollo systems water heater.
