"The technician was very polite and professional. It does seems that every time you get any tune up or inspection, something else will be found that needs to be done.  At that point, you either have to know a lot about the equipment (if so, you probably would have done the inspection yourself) or rely on the honesty of the vendor.  The technician showed me, as best as my understanding would allow, what needed to be done.  A couple were obvious, even to me.  The permanent filter in the furnace was of poor quality and some of the plastic condensation pipes (high efficiency furnace, had been installed without glue holding them together.  The air conditioner need Freon, not that unusual.  He then suggested an optional item, a start up capacitor.  His explanation seemed reasonable so I went ahead.  So far everything seems to be working fine.  The $85 I paid for the Big Deal is included in the $422.

"We had Top Service out in August 2016. We had just moved in and had two sewer backups the first week. We had another company come out and snake the line twice. Jesse came out to clean the pipes as we were told it was a grease buildup. He discovered that in fact there were two bellies in the pipe and it would continue to clog in that area and backup. He came back the next day with his crew and they dug down to the line and repaired the pipe, leveling it out for proper drainage. He was very thorough and spent countless hours doing the repair. This was a Sunday and they worked all day. We have never had a problem since then. We will definitely call them back out if we ever need service in the future."

"Original estimate and proposal was handled in professional manner. Everything was fully explained and there was no pressure or "snow job". Everything was itemized and put in writing. The "free" hot water heater was not needed so received a credit of $1300.
The five man crew arrived on schedule and got to work immediately.  Met with supervisor Mark and foreman Jose and reviewed job.
The crew laid down tarps for dirt control (looked good at first, but wasn't that effective. Attic insulation was still tracked in house  They did attempt to vacuum everything up.)
Crew didn't have a ladder so they used mine. No big deal.
They all worked really hard and there was no loafing around. Had the walls opened and new pipe laid out and ready to go the first day.They didn't hesitate in working late. Made the ordeal of having to have a re-pipe bearable. It was great to still have water all day and that night.
The crew were very polite and friendly and we enjoyed their presence.
They really appreciated the free lunch we gave them and helped cement our relationship. They all deserved a "Gold Star" for their outstanding work.
The next day layout was completed, old pipe removed and new tied in. New piping was flushed and  pressure tested. No leaks.
As a former building inspector, I was very impressed by their professionalism, work ethics and attitude. It's very rare to have someone "do it right the first time".The following day the drywall came and repaired all the walls that had been demo'd. Outstanding job.
 Only a few negatives:
Cleanup. 
Attic insulation that had been pushed aside was not put back.(still not done)
They also missed some shock absorbers which the building inspector caught. Jose came back the next day and took care of the them.  Bathroom exhaust fan had been stepped on and pushed down below the ceiling. Drywall man attempted repairs. OK..
Piping could have been flushed a little longer to get all debris out. Minor.
Overall I am very pleased with the work. Price was a big OUCH!
UPDATE!
It has been several months now and I find the installation was not as great as I thought.  Rather than moving the ceiling insulation, they installed the pipes on the roof rafters. Pipe insulation inadequate; water too cold in winter and scalding hot in summer. Don't let them take short cut!

Gary Bracher came out in the summer and measured the fireplace and gave me an estimate of the work to be done and the cost. I called Gary a couple of weeks ago and informed him that I would like to proceed with the work we had discussed. He gave me a date he could start the work and we agreed regarding the start date and price quoted.

Gary is a professional and very meticulous regarding his work. He made sure that protective sheeting was placed on the floor from the entryway to the fireplace. He did the cutting of the brick in the driveway and all went as planned except the original gas pipe had to be replaced and the bottom brick had to be brought in from LA. He took care of everything in a timely manner and completed the job ahead of schedule. Gary cleaned all the glass door surfaces that were stained from years of wood fires. The fireplace looks great and definitely heats the room!

"Willie's team did a very good job. They always puts quality and our needs as the top priority. They were punctual and kept the work area clean. 
Because our house is relatively old, they offered floating the wall instead of using backer boards to ensure straight wall and beautiful look, without increasing the cost.The finished bathroom looks beautiful. The title guy told me that he has 30+ years of experience. They changed all the pipes to prevent future leakage. 
The team pays attention to details. For example, we had a leaky toilet in a different bathroom and they fixed it before I noticed it:)
The team always looks energetic and enjoys what they do. They're one of the best contractors we worked with so far.

Update: March 24, 2015

Job done in about 9 weeks, mind you entire 2600 sq ft place done up on flooring,  2 1/2 bath updated, kitchen remodeling, knocked down a wall, electrical wirings, rerouting of gas line just to name the big stuff. Honestly there were some time hiccups BUT those ones were not in GW's control . Stuff like permits and inspections from City Hall that delayed maybe 2 weeks of the entire project . Good communications with Matt enabled this to happen and of course the team who works with Matt too , Albert 's motto is " I won't do to your house what I won't do to mine " - I actually miss the guys coming over  :) oh and I have updated the quality from B to A  ( from my preliminary review of GW )

We were given choices of places to chose our materials  ( granite top ) kitchen and bathroom tiles , etc etc these guys don't just stop at HomeDpot ( nothing against Home Depot / Lowes etc ) and have other venues they source for quality materials at reasonable pricing. I chose a granite countertop, needed 2 pieces as we have a new island in the kitchen remodeling only to have Danny come back to me asking if we can go over the choice. It turns out The Manufacturer was not able to give us 2 pieces of granite in the same shades ( same stuff but stocks varies ) but GW wanted to ensure we are getting countertops that we would be happy with . So Danny took me to another place, and we chose something else , it did cost more  ( workmanship / full slabs of granites needs cutting ) but we were happy to pay for it. And GW shared the extra cost with us. They were pretty serious on helping us keep our budget .  This is just one of the things about them.

Half way into the job , more problems came about - floor uneven ( we are on a slope ) mold in the bathroom - it was a total nightmare to us as new homeowners, mentally and financially . GW to the rescue, of course we need to pay extra to get things right, but again they did not overcharge, even when Matt had the liberty to squeeze us (at that point we are at his mercy ) he did not. Love him for that !

We had chosen really beautiful tiles for the shower room floor . Unfortunately it's a disaster because no caulking was holding the tiles in. After numerous times re-caulking ( around 5 times ) these little tiles still pops up: (Matt did not leave us in the lurch, we did establish how the tiles are  (shallow tiles hardly stay on the floor ) and not the person caulking them in . Instead though the job is done, Matt is still working on resolving this with the manufacturer and looking at reinstalling the tiles.

Kitchen cabinets  : kitchen is done but Matt is still fussy on making sure the trimmings set , all panels has soft closing , all the small aesthetics that was missed out on . Actually it is stuff that we didn't notice unless being told but the Matt still sends the guys over to fix these small stuff.  He is irritatingly a perfectionist ! :)

Love the new hardwood flooring installed. Neat handy work :) if Angie's List allows me to post pictures, I would definitely share our choice of flooring here. Matt did assured us many times the type of glue they use is not the cheap ones and we believe him because he does after job checks too.

Did I also mention how clean the guys power wash and scrub our 27 year old roof? we had a leak somewhere and had engage GW to fix and retile the roof. It changed the entire outlook of the house its like its totally new .

Now that the big part of the job is complete, we are planning on saving for the small things  - changing of window frames/ sliders , installing solar panels . Will definitely engage the GW guys for the jobs  :)

This company is all about details and perfection. Quality listed B is only because the remodeling is not yet completed, but I want to share reviews with others who may be looking for a dependable contractor. My husband and I had several bids for a total remodeling job (kitchen, master bath, everything including the stairways. ) GW is not the cheapest but they are certainly affordable for their expert advice on things such as building permits and design suggestions. We were closing on deciding another contractor ,This is a major decision for us which required lengthy discussions and budget counting but Matt , with his confidence and assurance changed our minds on the spot.

He is very on the ball , he took us wood floor hunting on the day itself  after meeting us. All we needed to do was show him a sample wood floor color and he knew what we were looking for. Work has started for just a week (demolishing and wall patch and paint ) but GW 's guys are amazing. The team cleans up really well after demo , good communications between the guys and the team supervisor. The kitchen remodel design was presented to us in a 3D graphics, this really help as its hard to visualize! Along with the design planning GW gives advices through their years of experience. Things such as position of lighting in the bathroom mirrors to not accentuate eye bags, bath tub heights consideration for age groups etc . 

GW works in within the budget given, plenty of options for materials and stuff as they have wide network whom they regularly work with. We have done most of material purchases together with the project supervisor and they don't get a cut from materials, they cost the same to them as to us. Matt don't nickel and dime , in fact his company is pretty flexible and generous.

We found GW through my husband's office review network (Qualcomm) and these guys came highly recommended. Choosing them for our house remodeling project was definitely the best decision made for us in our house project. We just wished for them the past reviewers in the office forum is linked to Angie's too! These guys goes the extra mile and more for sure.

Our house remodel isn't complete yet (been just 1week) these guys aren't wasting anyone's time that's why they deserve my review right up !
