"Originally hired Chris to do the flooring in my kitchen. He was a one man show at the time which was perfect, because less people in the house. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were perfect. Best part was he was timely, the wife wanted her kitchen back so I appreciated that the most. I hired Chris again to do both my bathrooms and as expected, perfection. Prior to starting the project Chris gave me some suggestions and pointers on my design and thoughts. Lots of tips and reason why I should and should not do certain things. Chris's professionalism and ability to make constructive recommendations surpassed expectation. I appreciate him not letting me waste my money on things I'd have to repair in the short term. Finally, I made a huge mistake and had some guy come and work the flooring for one of my bedrooms. It took pretty much till the end of the project to realize that the work the guy did was garbage. Nothing was straight, level, or even installed correctly. Chris came over and gave me advice on what was wrong, how to fix it and even how to deal with the guy that screwed me. When everything was said an done, Chris came back finished the room properly. Again his craftsmanship was on point and it was timely. I have recommend Chris to friends and I WILL be getting him back to work on my house again."

"My contractor was Deep Rooted Flooring and our contact was Christian. We were contacted by him and discussed replacing a floor around the commode in the bathroom. I asked him to view the project and give us an estimate. He was very quick with his estimate and made us aware of work that needed to be done in the adjacent room because of the deteriorated floor. He didn’t Pressure us or anything about the extra work, he just made us aware of the condition with a description and pictures. It was our decision to go ahead with The additional work. The estimate came in at a reasonable price. He was at the job site at the time he said and completed the job quickly. He was knowledgeable About flooring and the type that should be used. He was cordial and answered all of our questions. We were very satisfied with the job as completed, in fact They did a couple of additional items we did not expect. I would recommend him for any flooring work and give him your highest rating. Tommy Combs"

FAQs for flooring install, repair, or refinish projects in Richlands, NC

Removing tile flooring is a messy job. Expect flying chip fragments, mortar dust, and plenty of debris. Protect the space with plastic sheeting and drop cloths, and gear up with goggles and a respirator before you start prying. Pros keep the mess in check by attaching industrial vacuums to their tools, a setup that captures dust at the source and leaves the work zone far cleaner than a DIY approach.

Removing the old tile first is almost always the smarter play. If you tile over worn or uneven flooring, the new surface can crack, pop, or sit higher than the surrounding rooms. Fixing that later costs far more, especially if you need to re-level the floor. By demoing the tile now, you get a flat, solid subfloor and avoid surprise repairs down the road.
