"I needed an electrician to install a 240 volt outlet quickly for an electric dryer coming on Monday. And didn’t know who to use, so went on Angie's List and found Ohms Electrical Services, who responded back within a few hours of calling and was able to come the next day. Lloyd was the electrician, who came and did a great job. He knows his stuff and if very personable and professional. He also saw work a past electrician had done that was not to code and explained why and that is was a safety issue, so will be having him back soon to fix that as well as other projects. Definitely, would recommend and very reasonable price."

"Melvin came over the same day I called for an estimate and he was very clear about what he would do and how he was going to do the job.  After a couple of weeks of getting to convince my husband (he was against putting the tv over the fireplace), we called Melvin to do the job and he came over on a Sunday. I was pretty surprised since you never have anybody working on Sunday unless is an emergency.Our house was built in 1929 so is pretty solid construction around the fireplace.  It was a tough installation and he even had to cancel a couple of appointments he had for that day, that's how hard the job was (he arrived at our house at 11am and left until around 7pm) because the usual method Melvin used didn't work since there was no way for him to pass the cables down thru the floor and then up again, so he had to drill to the wall and bring the cables thru horizontally thru the wall, but he did it wiht the minimum amount of mess and even patch up the hole once he was done.  My husband is the pickiest of them all when it comes to anybody doing jobs around the house, but he was pretty satisfied with the work that Melvin did and now he loves the way the tv looks above the fireplace.  We had friends over a few weeks later and complimented how clean the job was done and how nice it looked.  All in all, we're very happy and we will definitely call Melvin when we're ready to install our A/Cs or do anything electrical. Melvin is a true professional and one of those rare people out there that takes real pride in a job well done and will not walk away until you're satisfied with his work.  It only took me a bit of time to get to post the review because I was waiting for the bookcases to put on either side of the fireplace and give it the finish look to upload the picture.

"We lost power to the back of our house and we needed it restored. They came in late in the evening, diagnosed the problem, and gave us light in the kitchen to get us through the night. When the owner and his crew came in to do the work, they were professional and honest in letting me know that they had to go into the wall because the wiring was not efficient to do the job. While working they educated me on what the problem was, the solution, and the relationship to amps and volts in a simple way. After a day, we not only had the power restored, but we finally got to use our patio at night (which we have not been able to do for 2 years). We got a new patio light installed on a post and you don't see the wiring nor the connections like the old one. It is practically hidden. Plus when they put back the ceiling and wall cut outs, it looks so clean and seamless as if they never even cut through the well and ceiling. Best of all they came an hour away and were always on time., and the price was reasonable. I have more items that I need to get done and I will use them in the future. Thank you Phaenehas and Jay"

"Excellent. Complete gutting and renovation of basement. Old wood paneling and acoustical tile ceiling removed. New metal studs installed on walls to prevent mold. Installed mold and water resistant drywall. New LED high hats in ceiling, new doors and closets, completely painted. Looks great. "Extremely well. Although the generator was installed some time ago by Doug, a new problem arose with the central air conditioning when the electric power went out and the generator needed to run. Doug spoke with the company servicing the generator and the air conditioning to find a solution and fixed the problem. At my request, he communicated long distance with my son (an engineer), to explain what was happening, as I had little knowledge of the problem and solution. Doug spent considerable time and triple checked that the solution was working before he finished. As always, Doug was extremely caring and efficient."
