"The install went well, they did a real nice job, cleaned up good too. My only complaint was it took about two months from the time I paid the deposit, until they did the installation. I am assuming it was because of the steel tariffs and they can't get the product as quick."

"After contacting multiple companies with little to no success - I reached out to Thomas Robert Construction LLC. I received an almost immediate response from Tom - who not only listened but responded positively. He didn't even hesitate when I informed him I had done the home-work - and that I would be his primary contact even though this project was solely for my husband! From the first meeting and throughout the project - Tom addressed questions - brought in the correct workmen for each step - provided explanation as the work progressed and met expectations. We caused a time delay by deciding on a change in insulation and a change in wall finish - there was no backlash or negativity from Tom but rather a complete concurrence that we were making an investment in our home and we should end up with what we want --and Tom was going to make it happen! In short - when looking for QUALITY WORK - ACCOUNTABILITY AND DEPENDABILITY call Thomas Robert Construction LLC - We plan on working with him again in the future !! Check out Thomas Robert Construction LLC on facebook - and see our Raise the Roof project!!"

"I have some level of disappointment because Acculevel was unable to lift the patio back to its original position. That being said, I think the challenges they encountered would have been encountered by anyone else, and some of the other one-man mudjacking operations who wanted to use buckets or wheelbarrows to carry slurry back to my patio probably would have given up earlier. I chose Acculevel because they use foam instead of slurry (which should last much longer), they had a 300 foot hose solving problems with access to the backyard (I live on a steep slope with retaining walls), and I had more confidence selecting them compared to independent one-man operations who do mudjacking. Their price wasn't the highest bid I received but it wasn't the lowest. I thought it was fair given the foam is a higher quality product. The crew actually arrived an hour early, which actually wasn't ideal but not a big deal (a call would have been nice). They worked hard and I suspect they were there much longer than they had originally envisioned. They did a nice job sealing all cracks when they were done with a high-quality crack filler which most of the mudjacking guys told me they don't do. The good crack filler can be messy and difficult to work with so this was a nice little bonus. Although they couldn't get the patio back to where it was, they worked hard to do the best they could without risking damage to the retaining wall. At least with the foam they use, I have confidence it won't sink anymore."

"Northwest recommended replacing my standard size gutters with commercial size and it solved my overflow problem on my ranch style home. The Northwest crew were very professional, skilled at their trade and courteous. I would highly recommend Northwest Construction."

"Great job well executed. These are very high quality professionals capable of diagnosing root causes of your problem, digging out the construction code and educating you on the right thing to do. You can hire cheaper handyman/chimney guys and get a recurring problem or you can hire these licensed professionals and take care of things the right way. Wish I had never used anyone else!"

"Although we had to wait a lot longer than expected for the work to be done, once it was our turn, the work was done expertly and promptly. We asked them to come back to re-polish the stone which they did without any issue. I highly recommend this company for any brick or stonework you may have for your historic home. I have passed Dan's company name along to our local HDC."

"Mark and his team did a wonderful job with our front yard. It's almost 6 months later and we continue to get compliments from neighbors. The team was punctual and had a great work ethic. This is my second time using this company. Marsha did the first job which was to put a paver walkway in our backyard. That was also a stellar experience. I would definitely recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again"

"Ken performed masonary work on home in Aug 2014.  I had a longstanding water issue that in the end was not expensive to fix, just needed someone to be willing to take on the job and Ken was the guy.  Once we determined what needed to be done, Ken was up for the task and willing to take on the work.  The project took about 3 days.  He removed about 4 rows of brick from the face of my home and about 10 feet in length.  He then installed some thru wall flashing and was able to use the majority of the original bricks when he re-bricked the home.  Ken was always reachable, mostly thru text or email as he is a busy guy.  You will understand why once you work with him.  Very detailed, honest and thorough.  really knows his stuff.  I would definitely recommend Ken to anyone who needs brick work performed. <br />"

"I have used Statewide Stone several times over the last five years. Chris and his crew are outstanding to work with. Their attention to quality is excellent. Most recently they installed Owens Cultured Stream Stone on a small commercial building in Argentine Township. The finished result looks great and I could not be happier. <br />"

"Fantastic! Michael and Brent worked for a month, 5 days a week. They moved my stuff, including washer/dryer, to one area as they worked on another. They used my garage to store and cut lumber. They carefully cleaned up as they went and left everything spotless when they were finished. They even tried to leave the litter boxes undisturbed to minimize stress-related 'accidents.' Michael is meticulous, conscientious and no-nonsense. He is a great find! I have given his contact info to friends and family. Now my old house has a bright, updated basement!"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in River Rouge, MI

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
