Chris showed-up on time.  He said I had written a review that was critical the work he had done on the chimney  a few years ago and did I still want him to clean my chimney.  I said yes.  The work he had done previously was repair brick work and stucco the brick.  I was not happy with the stuccoing job.  I guess I was a little ruff on him. 

He cleaned the chimney flue and  in addition sprayed the flue with something that would help clean creosol and with a spray that deodorized the flue at no additional cost.  I was very happy with his service and I will use him again.

Follow up on the next day was completed in about 1/2 hour and returned the area to the original condition. We did not need to do any further clean up or adjustment. "Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

Bill was on time and did a perfect job with a challenging task (our fireplace exterior, being stone, is extremely uneven). He did extra work to seal the doors to the stone and it looks gorgeous! I told him the week since he fixed our damper had greatly eliminated the cold blasts that had been entering the house, and this should completely solve the problem. The work Bill did was far better than anything we could have done and it looks terrific. It adds to the value of our home and increases our comfort.

I learned that Dr. Sweep also does masonry work (such as tuck pointing and cement repairs) and I will definitely hire them again.
