"We hired Deck & Shed Pros for a diverse set of projects: a custom-built shed, replacement of our window wells, and some repairs to our stone patio. And we couldn’t be happier with how all of them turned out! During the contract phase, Jim, Jen and Victor were incredibly patient in answering all our questions. They were also very flexible on any design issues, ensuring that the projects could be done exactly how we wanted them. For example, they were able to use the same brand and color of vinyl siding on the shed that we recently had installed on our addition (so now they match perfectly), and they adjusted their plans for the window wells to accommodate our chosen style of wells/covers and the necessary depth for digging them out. When Victor and his crew came to install the window wells and make some patio repairs, the work was done beautifully and efficiently. The crew worked really hard, and they cleaned up the yard afterward so there was no debris left behind. One basement window pane got cracked as they were removing the old brick-and-concrete window wells, and they did a wonderful job of replacing the whole window with plexiglass (which was a painstaking task given the age of the window and how it was installed). People don’t usually think of window wells as beautiful, but the new ones that they installed for us (galvanized steel with polycarbonate covers) have totally transformed and modernized that part of the house. Victor and his team were so friendly and easy to work with. They also poured the concrete pad for our shed, making sure it was smooth and level—and in the exact location that we wanted. Victor even spread grass seed and straw over any disturbed areas. When the shed was ready for installation, the manufacturer’s crew came out to build it on-site. They were super professional, and the whole thing was done in about 6 hours. It’s made of high-quality materials and it’s gorgeous to look at—really complements the style of our home. A couple items had been missing from the shed kit, so someone came right out a few days later to make the necessary fixes. When we saw that it needed a single step under the side door, Jim had someone here within about a week to build one from scratch. Everyone was very prompt and responsive to any issues that came up. Through all of it, the communication with Jen and Jim was outstanding—they were always reachable by phone or email, and Jim would send out email updates every Friday, to keep us apprised of any developments or changes to the timeframe. I highly recommend Deck & Shed Pros for sheds, decks, or any other outside contracting work. (If you’re not sure whether it’s something they do, just ask! We didn’t know what kind of company to hire for the window wells, but they got it done with no problem.) We are thrilled with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for other jobs in the future."

"This is our second time using Straka Contracting and we will use them again. This time, Karel and Lenny installed a front door with sidelites and built a porch over our front stoop. They also replaced a standard garage side door and some lighting. The porch was mostly custom built and many decisions/selections were made along the way. Karel was extremely flexible, patient and responsive to our needs. We wanted a custom piece above the door that was delayed. Karel returned to install it the day after it arrived. With respect to CoVID-19, the team worked safely and was responsive to our concerns and needs. Karel is professional, responsible and performs high quality work at a reasonable price. Randy was very collaborative and responsive as we refined our requirements and specifications. Once we committed, Deck Builders helped us with the County permits and our HOA submission. The two person crew, Baldemar and Miguel, were phenomenal. They worked incredibly hard in very hot conditions and always answered our questions and inquiries as they were doing their work. "We needed a new walkway (or patio) to connect our front porch to the garage (to replace the original quartz stone, board, & flagstone design), a new front porch (since the boards were rotting), and we needed the EverGrain Composite Decking of our back deck power-washed and stained. Deckmaster was the only contractor who could do all three jobs, and the finished product on all three was great, and they gave us a great price. They redid the stairs on the back deck and gave us an extra step on the front porch, both of which we really like. Deckmaster was patient while we got our homeowner's association to approve the design, and they were very responsive and reasonable every step of the way. I'd definitely hire them again and highly recommend."
