But he spent time on the phone with me, giving me a range of what I could expect to pay for our size roof, how to avoid surrounding plant damage, etc. Very kind of him and impressive, given that he was making no money. "Roofing USA were very professional throughout. They were punctual, although the work got done a few weeks later than planned but such delays happen in this industry. They seem to have done a good job with the Gaco coating, although I did have to ask them to come back after they were done to redo a few patches that didn't get a thick enough layer. They were happy to do that. They only had to resurface part of my roof - the rest is a walkable roof deck - and they did leave many spots of Gaco on the roof deck which I had to ask them to come back and remove. I though the price was expensive but it was easily going to work out cheaper than the other two companies I contacted. They also had the least disruptive plan for working around my AC/heating unit. I got a higher bid from A+ Sustainable Coatings, and Hollywood Roofing told me I would have to hire a crane to lift that unit off the roof while they worked, which they said would be about $2500. I never did get a complete bid from them but with that extra cost I assumed it wouldn't be competitive, and I didn't think the crane was necessary. With Roofing USA, the price worked out at about $7 per square foot."

"Initially Southern Screen came to the house to see and measure out what I wanted to have done. Within a day or two was given written estimate with diagrams to review. Upon accepting the estimate they ordered the slider. It took a couple of weeks to arrive from manufacturer. Then we set up an installation appointment. They arrived on time and within half day the install was done. Very professional! It really is nice. At a later date I am having them return to build a small screen porch on the existing patio slab in the rear of house."
