"Great experience. Gary, the estimator showed up on time, evaluated the existing upstairs AC, and gave me two options to replace the evaporator coil and outside condenser with firm prices. Included in the estimates was also addition work I requested. All of the work was done the following Monday. The new unit is 2.0 SEER2 better than the old unit. Bradham Brothers included a new programmable thermostat with WiFi access. They also provided two new CO2 detectors. The county inspector was pleased with their work. All total, Bradham Brothers exceeded my expectations."

"The owner, Chad Adams, came out to provide me an estimate.  He fully reviewed my options, the costs, and the details of each option.  There was no pressure, just informative.  Great guy.
I decided on 7/22 to get one of the options and told Chad.  He scheduled me same day, which was a pleasant surprise.
The team arrived about 10 and were fully completed around 3.  The installation went well, they cleaned up fully and we'd never know they were there.    The new system is great.
Overall great experience, and I will continue to use American Air for my system.

"I have used the company once and everything has gone very well so far. The staff has done fine work. They came recommended to me for the brand of furnace and AC I have. I have not had an issue contacting them or scheduling a service when I need."

"Reggie did a superior job installing the new valve within two hours. He appreciated the fact that I had opened the wall for him (doing the grunt work), and saved him time on that--- although he does this quite routinely when there is no access panel. I feel that the price was on the high side ($400) for only two hours of labor. I did discuss this with the office manager subsequently, and she graciously made on adjustment given that I performed all of the prep work. It is important to note that this company Automatically charges a $79 estimate fee whether you do the work or not, and this is NOT subtracted from the job price. Secondly, this company does Not charge by the hour, but has an established fee for each type of plumbing job. This being said, I would work with this company again. Again, I was pleased with the work that Reggie performed."

"Rick and his crew did a wonderful job on something that is a big mess. One of the main reasons I choose Rick was because of his responsiveness to my questions after he provided a quote. That didn't changed after I hired him which was a pleasant surprise. During the process, his crew worked on some interior projects as well and they again did a fantastic job. I would hire Rick McCoy again for large or small projects."

"Jim was very helpful and personable to work with.  I had recently moved to the Huntsville area and was unable to connect my wireless printer.   There were also some things going on with my laptop that made me suspect a virus had somehow gotten on to it, it was running more slowly than usual, and I wasn't happy with the Win7 configuration I had done when I bought the computer.  Jim came in and assessed the problems and we agreed on a time for him to take the laptop and reinstall the OS.  He was able to get the wireless connection to work as well.  He took the computer on a Friday evening and returned it Sunday evening in prime condition.
A few weeks later I  got an error message while reinstalling my accounting software so I called Jim.  He talked me through the problem over the phone and I was able to get the program installed so I could use the program.
Jim is great to work with, his pricing is very fair, he is prompt and reliable.  I will definitely use his services again.

"That went well and we spent some more money with them, about $7,000, since they had to put down the water vapor. They had to replace some of the venting in the crawlspace that was damaged. They also had to install a sub pump. They also had to do a mold treatment. They had to divide the process up and it took a total of about 5-7 days. They were very consistent with updating me with that was going on. They were quick to respond with any concerns and the workers that came out and did the work, were very professional."

"Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. In the end we received a very good paint job on a timely basis and at a competitive price. I have already recommended Mike's Painting to others in my neighborhood and would use him again for future painting needs.

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in Rock Hill, SC

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
