Small business started after years of working in the HVAC industry I've decided to go out on my own and provide HVAC services for my city.

"Comfort by Design did a fantastic job with my water heater from start to finish. When I called, the receptionist was highly knowledgeable about scheduling and pricing, and she was quite willing to let me call other places since I was researching price and availability. I ended up sticking with Comfort by Design largely because the receptionist was not pushy, listened well to me, and had technicians available that day. I like hiring companies with whose employees listen to me and work with me to solve a problem, as opposed to pressuring me to choose them or to buy more than I'm comfortable with. My initial interaction with Comfort by Design met those criteria. A technician arrived within the time-frame I was quoted, and he had the part I thought was broken on my water heater. After diagnosing the issue, though, he discovered that there was at least one other broken/malfunctioning part that needed to be replaced. He showed me the problem and explained the process of replacing it. After discussing my options with the technician, I decided to replace the water heater. At no point did I feel pressured into making that decision. The best surprise of the day was that Comfort by Design was able to replace the water heater immediately. Another technician was available to immediately bring the water heater, and the two techs worked together to install the new one and remove the old one. They also carted the old one away. Before leaving, they patiently answered several other questions I had, and they explained and scheduled the necessary inspection of their installation. They did a great job respecting my property while moving the large water heaters, and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Finally, the cost was reasonable and about what I expected to pay. Custom by Design is definitely going to be the first place I call should I have any plumbing or HVAC (they also do HVAC!) needs in the future."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

We don't have a regular plumbing company, so we started calling down the list when we needed help.  I called 2 other companies first on a Saturday afternoon.  They were too busy and couldn't help us.  Anytime was the next company I called and they said they could send someone out in about an hour and a half.  Derrick arrived promptly and took everything apart, showed my husband what he missed, and put it back together so it worked.  Very low stress once he arrived.  We will use them again when we need plumbing or HVAC and very much appreciate the assistance!
