"The two service techs arrived within the time frame. I was told performed an overall test and evaluation of my heat pump and found problem was related to the thermostat which they replaced. They also identified mold on the wall and wires w/ in the unit and recommended a WJ light system. I will schedule a separate appt. to have installed in another week. (they cleaned mold off before leaving)."

"The largest HCAC company on St. Augustine Beach told me I needed to replace my unit. Randy said it was a clean out issue which would cost me a little over $100. He was right and saved me about $5,800. I can't recommend Randy and his team more. PLEASE look at reviews before hiring anyone. I didn't and it almost cost me dearly. REVIEWS DON"T LIE - Good or bad!"

"I had to have my complete HVAC system replaced and I hired David Gray. What a wonderful experience. The three gentlemen that did the installation, Gabe, Zahkeem, and Muhamed were so professional and courteous. They did a fantastic job and were very meticulous, making sure everything was perfect and once installed they made sure everything was cleaned up and they made sure I understood how to use the new thermostat. They should be highly commended on their work ethics and professionalism. Highly recommend David Gray. "

"Old AC quit and we thought it just needed a charge. Called 1 hr heating and ac, set appt for next day. The tech was on time very professional and honest. Our system was completely empty he advised us that the price to completely fill the system was about a grand and told us it is our call but ultimately the system has a leak, he could fill it and charge us the price and be without ac not much longer than a season if we were lucky. We chose to just replace the system. The sales rep was out here on time the next day he was also very professional and nice, then at the end of that meeting we were lucky enough to be able to get the AC installed the very next day which was Friday. The install guys were great also! They arrived early to my surprise which I was happy about. I was quoted about 6 to 8 hrs for install and the install team was quick 4 and a half hrs later new system was in and running great. It was a wonderful experience for such a large task"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Saint Augustine, FL

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
