"Steve is awesome. I called for a quote and he saved me money by talking me through a diagnosis. He spent a lot of time to help me figure it out and didn't charge me a dime. I was able to fix it myself with his help. He already gave me a very reasonable quote. It's a company that can be trusted. I will definitely call for all my electrical needs for properties I manage. If you need any electrical work done, I wouldn't hesitate to give Steve at Wilson Electric a call. Thank you for the help!"

"I called Excellence Electrical for a panel upgrade and some misc wiring repair. I was having trouble with my newer appliances blowing the circuit which they were all sharing. Raymond came by for a look and gave me an estimate. He was prompt, polite and clearly knowledgable. We proceeded with his proposal. Raymond coordinated all the dealings with city permits, Edison approvals, etc. His crew then came and did the job. They were courteous and efficient. I will definitely use Excellence Electrical for my future electrical needs. Thank you Raymond."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
