"Our central air conditioning unit stopped working on a weekday afternoon and the indoor temperature quickly rose to 85 degrees. I called Ragsdale's emergency service after hours. A real person took my information and a service tech called me back within 20 minutes to say that he would be at my house that night. He showed up on time and was courteous and very professional. My unit is 18 years old and had not been cleaned in several years. The tech replaced the capacitor and fan motor, added coolant, cleaned the coils, checked pressure and performed several tests. Repair and clean up took about 90 minutes. He explained to me what he was doing on each step, told me the available repair options and their costs, and gave me pointers on how to spot a faulty unit. Our A/C now blows out colder air than prior to repair. I was very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again."

• We came home on Friday night to a hot and humid house.  We tried resetting the Thermostat etc to no avail.    We called ACE & A that evening and received a return after hours call within 5 minutes.   The lady who returned our call was knowledgeable and asked us a few questions to determine what type of service was needed.  She set up a Saturday morning 8 - 11 am time slot.  She called me at 9 am to let me know the technician would be out to our house within 30 minutes.   The technician also called to let us know he was outside our home and asked where he could park.  

The technician was polite, professional and worked quickly to determine the problem.  He tested and cleaned all of our systems and replaced a defective part.  

I used them 15 years ago at a previous home and they were good then and even better now.   I found them to be trustworthy, professional, personable and easy to do business with.

"We got a new AC unit last fall. When we started using it this summer, the breaker kept tripping. We have a maintenance plan with Estes for electric problems, so they came to have a look. Tried something the first time they came, and it seemed okay for about a week, and then the breaker tripped again, so they came back and tried something else, but that didn't work long either. The problem was that the AC and furnace share the same blower or condenser something or other, and that was probably causing the breaker to trip. I asked if they could run a separate line for the AC, and they came back to do that, and we haven't had the problem since then. So they stuck with it until it was finally fixed for good, I hope. We have used Estes for heating and AC for decades, and they have always treated us fairly. We have maintenance contracts for that, and added electrical and plumbing. They are a well run outfit, they have very good workers and sales people who have always respected our property inside and out, as well as us. We have purchased and had them install a new furnace and three AC units over the years, and they have serviced them both and fixed anything when needed. This is a company we trust, and can recommend without hesitation."

"There was very little work to do. They came out on time and I was happy for the professionalism, but there was nothing to do because it's a brand new system. The service is free for a year. I could have had them come out in April to check the air conditioning system, but since they just installed the unit in April, I didn't bother, but it would have been free. This fall, when I called him to check the furnace, he thought he was coming out to check the air conditioning, I said, "no, you're here to check the furnace because I'm going to be using the heat this fall". He said, "no problem" and he checked that out, he said, "I feel like I'm not doing anything, I can still check the air conditioner", and I said, "if you want to, but I've been running it all summer and it's been great". I asked him there was a charge and he said, "no, the first year was free"."
