"Art is literally the best. Show me another company that will do this: Art did a perfect job installing the gas piping at my home when I got a new meter installed. He also ran a line out to my deck for my BBQ. I got the parts for the conversion weeks later, and wasn't confident I'd install it right, so I contacted him to ask him for advice... and he came over and helped me install it! He even stuck around to make sure it worked. Then he wouldn't take any money! I forced him to let me give him some to buy himself dinner. You will not find people like this every day in ANY industry. He is literally the best."

"Alan and BJ were great to work with. Very personable and nice. Alan came in for a pre-visit and quote and discussed the work to be done. We split our gasline on our roof deck and extended one to better position our gas grill. Alan and BJ came for the installation and did a great job. I'd recommend them for work on gas line extensions."

"We had a pipe break resulting in water damage. Mad Pipers was recommended by the restoration company. We called. Zach and Reagan were prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with both on the phone and in person. When they arrived they rapidly found the leak and repaired it. Glad we followed up on the recommendation!"

"They did a great job re-piping my entire 70-year old house, it was not an easy job. Reasonable pricing, no unexpected costs, left place clean at the end of every day. Cesar was very informative and flexible. I would hire them again."

"Amazing. Brennan quoted us $1200, saying we needed to replace all pipes. Seatown did it for the diagnostic fee of $75 by tightening some areas. Long story, but Seatown was HONEST and one of the few companies that came same-day as they told us we were an “emergency” due to the gas leak, so I appreciated that, too. I asked Andrew to leave his card with me and will definitely call them again."

"Great experience working with Colin on installing a gas line for our kitchen. We got three bids and theirs was almost the lowest but I got such great vibes from Colin it was an easy choice. Looking forward to working with them again!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Seattle, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
