"Polar Bear replaced all our windows. There was excellent communication from start to finish. The installation went smoothly for us because they focused on one area of the house at a time. They covered all surfaces that would be impacted by dust or dirt. The workers arrived on time, were skilled in their trade, cleaned up before leaving every day and were polite. They answered our questions . If the need arises I will have them back for other jobs. Thank you very much!"

"The whole process was not pleasant. We went with Arrow because of the good reviews, but the insulation process was anything but easy. We have an older home that had nailed in dry wall. We decided to have the installation done through the home exterior in order to minimize clean up (we had a 3 month old at the time that we didnt want exposed to the dust/insulation particles). When the insulation was being blown in, many of our dry wall nails began to pop through the dry wall. We were never made aware of any of the potential problems with blowing in insulation through the home exterior, and this process created far more work than we were expecting. As for the exterior of our home, we were left with many siding boards damaged (which thankfully Arrow decided to pay for). Some of our siding could not get removed, and holes were instead cut into our siding. When these were initially patched, they looked awesome, but after only 1.5-2 months, the patch work began to show cracks, and now every hole that was created is visible from the street (some of the plugs have even been able to be moved around with very little pressure). This process has been a nightmare, and our home exterior, after almost 3 months, still is not what it was before the work was done."

"Projects included: insulation, electrical, and heating & cooling. A huge thank you to CAZ Construction and Favinger Plumbing for the incredible work they did helping my elderly mother through Skagit Housing Authority. The team was professional, kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Special shoutout to Alfredo, Alberto, Jimmy, Lazaro, Brian, Keith, and Ricky—you guys are rockstars! Your teamwork, attention to detail, and generosity meant so much to our family. Highly recommend!"

"Service Requested : Electrical panel replacement, dryer circuit, bedroom circuit & quad outlet. The crew were early, dedicated and doggedly determined. Day one was a the long pole, the panel replacement. They didn't stop until they were done. Went to sleep in a warm bed that very night. Next day they returned to wrap-up the dryer & bedroom circuits. They were thorough. They did the "best effort" and took no shortcuts. And the quote was much lower than every other (I obtained 7). Completely and happily recommend them."

"I can not find the delete review or modify my review option in Angi. So I would like to rewrite a review. Janes Radiant Heating do guarantees its work. A couple of days after I reported that the boiler was not working after the maintenance service, they sent a technician to check and restart the boiler to make sure it works properly without charging me again."

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Sedro Woolley, WA

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
