"I’m extremely satisfied with Regional. We had three sump pumps that needed to be replaced (primary, secondary, and water powered backup). The quote was very reasonable, and they were able to do the work shortly after their initial visit. They replaced everything with Liberty pumps. Justin and Erich did the work and they were very professional. We had them quote out a couple of other items (replacing water heater, etc) and those quotes were also very reasonable. I will definitely hire them for future jobs."

"The installation was done when promised and completed on time at an excellent price. I needed to call the installers out to take care of 3 issues that I found when checking the installation. This was done in a timely manner. Overall I am pleased with the new system although I have not had an opportunity to really test the A/C yet as the weather turn cool and it has not been needed."

"They were on time. Price was originally quoted. When notified they missed the air intake in one of the rooms they came out immediately to correct the problem. Would not hesitate using them again or recommending them to others."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"My first contact with Pustai was July 19th. I was down two pounds of freon and the system would frost up and stop cooling. The service man, Steve, carefully explained every option. We decided to just try some freon, in case it was really slow leak. Two weeks later, the system was down again with the same problem. I was impressed that Pustai sent Steve back the next day for service. Steve and I concurred that the system needed replacing. We made an appointment for the next day. Later Steve called back and asked if he could start that afternoon. Obviously I said yes. He arrived on time and immediately went to work. I supervised the whole time and I was very impressed with his professionalism. His sheet metal work was excellent. Half way through the job he was joined by a co-worker who also worked in a skilled professional manner. On arrival, about 11:30 am, Steve estimated he would be done around 4:00 pm. The job was completed, including all clean up and haul away by 4:15 pm. A job being completed on time was a very pleasant surprise. At no time did Steve try to sell me unneeded devices or services. In fact, he was helpful with many time and money saving tips. Overall, I was impressed with their service."

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in Shelby, IN

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
