"The home inspection went very well. Pam was incredibly thorough and even got on top of the roof to check out the chimney. I called SM prior to purchase of the deal, and he tried convincing me to pay in cash, honoring the 260$ purchase price, instead of purchasing the "big deal" and said their "credit card machine" was down. Seeing as how we were purchasing a home and wanted to hold on to as much cash as we could, that was the only disconcerting feeling about the transaction. Seemed a bit shady that they'd try and bypass Angie's List like that. Otherwise, the quality of the inspection and timely nature was great.

"Access did a great job going through the home thoroughly. My only suggestion for them would be to inspect the water shutoff valves for corrosion. Obviously they cannot turn on/off the water at the valves because they might break, but they can look for damage to them. (I happened to have been planning to replace them all with quarter-turn shutoffs anyway, because I am crazy about home maintenance.) What I really liked is he had contingency plans to look where he otherwise was bared from looking at. For instance, due to ice on the roof he couldn't safely walk up there, but he had a 40 foot extension pole for his camera with a button to make it take a picture."

"We did not get past the telephone interview, but I was very impressed with his knowledge and ethics. We had a recent flood from a plumbing leak while we were out of town. We hired a water evacuation company and had the house completely dry within three days, using four large dehumidifier and forced dry air into the walls. Even though the basement is unfinished, and can be seen, and the dry wall and flooring measured low/safe moisture levels, two flooring companies recommended removing not only the hardwood, but also the subflooring, and then spraying with anti-microbials. Tom recommended that this would probably not be necessary and to get another opinion. I will probably hire him to do a mold test any way in the near future."

"I needed to find a company who could reroute my dryer vent in my home. Upon calling around it was hard to find someone who would do a smaller job. So I decided to make an Angi's post to see what I might could get. I was contacted by Matthew at Purity Air Restorations. He came to my home, inspected what needed done, was very knowledgeable on the best way to reroute the dryer vent and then gave me an estimate - very fairly priced. Then was able to put me on his schedule quickly. On the day of the job, his guys that installed the dryer vent, were professional, friendly, cleaned up their work mess and did a great job on their work. I am very pleased with my dryer vent. I would like to add that I did have one piece on my dryer vent that was a little tricky and Matthew went over and beyond what I anticipated trying to help me with it. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future!"
