"We had water leaking into our crawlspace. It was a mess. The rugs we laid down to make crawling easier were soaked with foul-smelling liquid. Boxes of pictures were ruined. Contaminated items needed to be thrown away. It was a disaster. At first, we thought it may have come from a leak from a recently installed water heater. We contacted the installer (AJ Perri) to look at it. He said that it wasn't from the heater. He assumed it was water from outside and suggested we get a sump pump. My central AC died with the first NJ heat wave in the start of June. WeatherBusters diagnosed the problem, and it was a potentially big one. Not only did my compressor have a refrigerant leak somewhere, but the very old components in the attic were looking quite bad. The service manager took photos.

He gave me two options: one being to locate/repair the leak in the compressor and recharge with refrigerant, and the other to replace both the compressor and air handler in the attic. I opted for the latter; after seeing the photos I didn?t want to start chasing more problems in the future.

I had to wait a while because they were very busy, but it was worth it. Two repairmen came out early in the morning and worked the full day. Professionals, good guys, upbeat and thorough; they put down tarp to keep things clean and answered any question, anytime. WeatherBusters uses top-notch components, too?York and Aprilaire. They also insulated parts in the attic that had not been insulated with the old unit, gave me a much better filter system, a new digital thermostat and a replacement intake grill for the ceiling, too.

The new system is much better than what I?d been used to. Quieter, more efficient, and I can get my temps down low?sweet comfort inside even during the intense July 15-20 heat wave with outside temps in the very high 90s and high humidity. Love it.
