"I called quite a few masons for this work and estimates were all across the board. Found that most do not offer warranties or work with the sealant manufacturer to do preliminary tests to ensure their product will work. JC was one that did both. Their price was one of the higher ones that we received but we decided it was worth it due to the warranty they would issue. Both Greg and Jake are great, very responsive and accountable for their work. I can’t say that everything went great. There were some issues, delays, and rework but that was primarily attributed to poor workmanship of one of their employees. Once I brought that to their attention, they worked to correct it. They could have as easily made it really difficult for us to finish the job properly and not taken responsibility. The project could have gone more smoothly if that employee was not assigned but in reality no home project is perfect and a contractor that works to correct issues and make it right is hard to find."

"Olsen Tuckpointing Company did a brilliant job of cleaning & tuckpointing our 91-year-old brick bungalow. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend Olsen if you need any kind of brickwork done. It wasn't a huge job, but with the home being as old as it is, we were concerned about getting it done right. The brick exterior had quite a few old mortar patches and some washed-out sections, and over the years the walls had collected a wide assortment of paint stains, hardware hangers and old screw holes. The textured, tan brick also looked pretty dingy, although we weren't sure how much was the original color and how much might be accumulated dirt. The attached pictures show the after & before of dull brown bricks cleaned to a warm, clean gold. I didn't take closeups of the repairs, but I am impressed by how seamlessly the new work blends in with the older mortar. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional, and I have only good things to say about them all. The estimator was able to come out quickly after the initial contact, he did a comprehensive walk-though, and he provided a clear, reasonable, and detailed estimate in a timely fashion--along with an explanation of the whole process from start to finish, so we would know what to expect. The office staff was great about getting things scheduled and making sure we knew when the crews would be showing up, the crews introduced themselves on arrival, and they were all friendly, careful, and incredibly skilled. We are 100% pleased as can be & will certainly be calling Olsen Tuckpointing when next we need any masonry work performed."

The contractor was out on the same day as contacted and submitted a detailed estimate for job. The contractor did attempt to persuade me into coating rather than replacing front porch. This was not appreciated as the porch is over 45 years and needed replacement. Ultimately, job was given to a contractor who performed the job within my stated specs.

"Carlos and his team did so much for me. They did tuck pointing of one side of my wall. They did tuck pointing on my chimney they even replaced some bricks. Carlos was so kind he went above and beyond for me and sealed a lot of my wall joints with flexible seal so water doesn’t enter any one my walls and damage anything. They even fixed 2 foundation cracks from inside and outside with epoxy seal. Carlos was so reasonable with his estimate and you can tell he does his best giving you a fair price. They even kept the place clean and used vacuums while working. Ultimately friendly demeanor and professional job. I always recommend Carlos to anyone who needs any brick work done and will continue to do so. He’s hands down such a hard worker."
